[Bug 112074] Re: feisty dist-upgrade program reports download speed incorrectly: bits --> bytes
On 10/1/07, when performing a dist-upgrade from fiesty to gutsy I saw the same defect. When I executed "find / -name "*.py" -exec grep "Fetching file" {} \; -print" on my machine, two python files seem to have the offending issue: /usr/lib/python2.4/site- packages/DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeViewGtk.py (line 138) and /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeViewKDE.py (line 143). "dkpg -S reports that these files both belong is update-manager. The Synaptic Package Manager reports that I have version 1:0.79 of update-manager. -- feisty dist-upgrade program reports download speed incorrectly: bits --> bytes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112074 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 432535] Re: karmic alpha-6 live CD: screen switches between black and xsplash
I am having the same difficulty with a Gateway M-6862 (Core2 Duo/T5750 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 video adapter). The issue appears both in the i386 as well as the amd64 live CD images of both Alpha 6 and Alpha 5. Ctrl-Alt-F1 has no effect. I have not confirmed that if I select the install Ubuntu option, that I can install. The problem does NOT appear in Kubuntu Karmic Koala Alpha 3. No testing was done using Alpha 4. -- karmic alpha-6 live CD: screen switches between black and xsplash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432535 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 432535] Re: karmic alpha-6 live CD: screen switches between black and xsplash
Following an install of the Alpha 6 CD (using a user name to authenticate at boot time), I find I cannot log in. As soon as select my user name and enter my credentials, Ubuntu recycles back to the log in display. -- karmic alpha-6 live CD: screen switches between black and xsplash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432535 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 756734] Re: No remote calendars/contacts works in Evolution
It's not entirely certain to me, but, this bug appeared to occur at about the time I updated my machine to natty from meerkat. To see if there was corrupting in the local calendar info, I was going to try to delete the instances of the calendar that I had (I watch 3 Google calendars. First I tried to delete the view from evolution. I attempt to do the delete by right clicking on the calendar in calendar list on the left calendar pane and using the Delete from the list. This action brings up the "Delete Calendar '<>'. This calendar will be permanently deleted. [Do Not Delete] [Delete]" dialog box. I accept the Delete option. The dialog hangs, disappears and evolution returns to control. The calendar is still there. Then I tried to see if I could see any Google calendars. From the New Calendar dialog box, I am able to retrieve the list of calendars that I have available at Google. When I try to add a calendar from the available list, evolution hangs for 15 to 30 seconds, the calendar is added but it shows no calendar items in Evolution. I cannot delete this newly added calendar. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/756734 Title: No remote calendars/contacts works in Evolution -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 756734] Re: No remote calendars/contacts works in Evolution
When I run evolution from a command line, I capture the following warning messages. I've annotated the log with commentary about what happens when. Basically, it looks like libecal is timing out trying to get calendar information. ** Attachment added: "Error messages reported when running evolution from command line." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/756734/+attachment/2128916/+files/evolution-google-calendar-defect-756734-13-May-2011.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/756734 Title: No remote calendars/contacts works in Evolution -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 756734] Re: No remote calendars/contacts works in Evolution
The other comment that I can make is this appears to be related to the upgrade from meerkat to natty. If I create another use on the machine in question and attempt to access the same Google calendars, the process works as expected. The questions is how to fix the broken account without having to entirely start over and reconfigure evolution.
