[Bug 274669] [NEW] gnome power manager battery voltage
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager The update of the gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu Intrepid (2.24.0) causes extreme readings on my laptop. Previous version 2.23.93 had no problem. Gnome power manager reports my battery voltage starting from 49 v to 450 v on a full battery charge. The same problem exists when working on battery where the power consumption is more like 80 watts than the normal 13 watts on my laptop. Powertop reports normal values. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome power manager battery voltage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 274669] Re: gnome power manager battery voltage
This problem also causes a estimated battery life of over more than 10 to 40 hours. I used it on my laptop and suspend/hibernate is not working and the battery meter is always showing an icon that there is still enough charge left. But suddenly the laptop will turn off because the battery is drawn. Using the latest alpha version causes a lot of strange problems including not detecting Battery to AC power switch. To keep using my laptop I went back to the 8.04 version. I need my battery and have a working suspend function to keep me from losing my files. -- gnome power manager battery voltage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 274669] Re: gnome power manager battery voltage
Today I did a complete reinstall of Intrepid Alpha 6 and updated to the latest versions of everything. After updating the problem is back, before updating the gnome-power-manager is working perfectly. No changes of any kind was made, clean install. -- gnome power manager battery voltage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
