Public bug reported: Binary package hint: app-install-data /usr/share/app-install/desktop/mail-notification.desktop has an invalid desktop entry: [Desktop entry] instead of [Desktop Entry] and it results into a missing header to the package manager. I have the same problem on my laptop since Feisty and no usb device worked. After some investigation I blacklisted snd-hda-intel module. Now usb storage devices work but my usb printer still does not work. When I plug the printer I see a lot of over-current change messages and all usb devices plugged are deactivated. I don't think that the problem is due to the printer because when I plug it to other computers work correctly. [Bug 80684] Re: Randomly stops playing radio streams
I'm using ubuntu 9.10. I experience a similar problem (rhythmbox randomly stopping playing radio) just at home where I have a not so good adsl connection and a wireless access point. No problem at work, where I have a very stable and fast connection. So I think that this bug is related to the quality of the internet connection. I do not know if this helps, but at home I have similar problems with wget, which randomly stops when downloading big files.
