[Bug 187127] Re: ssh always asks to unlock private key with no password set

2009-04-21 Thread GW
I still have the issue.

My SSH key is password-protected and I have a valid .pub file. (BTW it's
a DSA key)

[Bug 187127] Re: ssh always asks to unlock private key with no password set

2009-04-03 Thread GW
Here's another clue: this issue started to occur on my system (8.10)
after I've changed my password. It worked fine before. I found the same
messages in my /var/log/auth.log as SteveLoughran. The only difference
to before the password change are the last to lines:

Apr 4 07:05:55 seawind gnome-keyring-daemon[5520]: Couldn't unlock login
keyring with provided password
Apr 4 07:05:55 seawind gnome-keyring-daemon[5520]: Failed to unlock login on
startup

They didn't appear when it was working.

[Bug 484157] Re: Screen flickering in 3D applications with open source radeon driver.

2009-12-23 Thread GW
I'm experiencing the same problems with 3D apps. My system has a Radeon
X1300 Series gfx card, though.

Lamer's fix was partially successful for me. It fixed the 3D problem,
but with the kernel setting in place the mouse cursor disappeared on the
second screen (looks really weird when I drag a window from one screen
to the other..).

BTW, I recommend you add the "radeon.modeset=1" to the "# defoptions="
line (in menu.lst), for example:

# defoptions=quiet splash radeon.modeset=1

And then run "sudo update-grub". Otherwise, your change will be undone
the next time your kernel is updated.

Re: [Bug 1004909] [regression 5.12-0ubuntu1] Major window management bug with Unity 5.12/launcher: no scale effect

2012-05-31 Thread GW
This only occur when setting the number of workspaces to 1 (= 1 vertical and 1
horizontal) in
MyUnity or Ubuntu Tweak.

Re: [Bug 1004909] [regression 5.12-0ubuntu1] Major window management bug with Unity 5.12/launcher: no scale effect

2012-05-31 Thread GW
For me the issue appeared only with the unity update to version 5.12. Before
the update, when still
using version 5.10 (when 12.04 was release in April), I could set the number of
workspaces to 1 (in
order to hide the workspace switching icon and save some space in the launcher)
and everything was
fine with the scaling of opened windows.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 996604 ***

Yes I do confirm this is exactly the same bug.

I would also greatly appreciate a possibility to remove the workspace switcher
icon from the
launcher and save up some space.

I have enabled the precise-proposed repository, and the issue is still
there with unity 5.12-0ubuntu1.1.
