[Bug 1218625] Re: samsung galaxy ace i (gt-s5830i) not plus detected after upgrade.

2013-09-04 Thread Francesco Bonanno
I've upgrated yesterday and today (4-09-2013) works on both kernels (the
latest and the lowlatency I usually use). I do daily the upgrades so
before I set the bug to fix released if you don't have problems I'll try
with the next upgrades of the kernel and co to see if the bug is still
in the system (2 or 3 releases of linux) and after I'll change the
status of the bug. Thanks for the support.

[Bug 1218625] [NEW] samsung galaxy ace i (gt-s5830i) not plus detected after upgrade.

2013-08-29 Thread Francesco Bonanno
Public bug reported:

I've saucy on my netbook since the repositories for it were published (I
use it for every dev branches of ubuntu). So I upgrade this installation
every day. Before the 28th August 2013 (utc +1 timezone) I can use my
device as storage device or debug, and I've had the notifications on
both pc and smartphone. Now if I plugin my gt-s5830i I don't get any
notifications on both device, but where dmesg displays the usb
connection lsusb doesn't give the phone on the list. The smartphone runs
cyanogenmod 7 (android 2.3.7).

With a tablet everything is still ok. So a kiwie 7 tab (detected as
simply google on lsusb) is still working, android 4.0.1. This is my pc
as uname -a sees it: "Linux spf-laptop 3.11.0-4-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP

return super().get_settings_iter(prefix)
TypeError: super() takes at least 1 argument (0 given)

So more interesting because it affects all the kind of accounts , but
I've decided to put this bug there 'cos it's very similar .

The solution is to comment lines 39 and 40 in the file
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gi/overrides/Accounts.py .

So : gksudo gedit /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-
packages/gi/overrides/Accounts.py , and change :

def get_settings_iter(self, prefix=''):
return super().get_settings_iter(prefix)
in

#def get_settings_iter(self, prefix=''):
#return super().get_settings_iter(prefix)
If you prefer , you can eliminate both lines .

If someone thinks it's another bug, I'll open a new bug in gwibber for
this :) .

2012-07-30 Thread Francesco Bonanno
I've seen the patch, and well with those I can't use the stereo
microphon, but I think I'll use more the jack headphone/microphone. I've
seen you ( David Henningsson ) have created a ppa for this problem, but
there aren't any packages in that. I've Ubuntu 12.10 developement branch
so if it isn't a problem, if you add packages in that ppa with the
patches , I'll can test it :D . Ever thanks for help and good work :) .

2012-08-06 Thread Francesco Bonanno
Well, I have confused ideas now. This is for a little particular. The
series of the asus eeepc 1001px have a lot of subseries, for example my
eeepc is an asus eeepc 1001px-blk003x , but exist the asus eeepc 1001px-
whi006s etc, so I'm sorry, but at the moment I'm not sure about my eeepc
1001px uses a 3-pin jack o 4-pin jack, sorry :D . But is there a program
o a utility I can use to determinate I'm using a 4 o 3 pin jack ? Thanks
for help :D . Francesco :) .

headphone with integrated microphone and a 2-pin stereo microphone only.
I've to add a particular, I use at the moment the developement branch of
ubuntu (12.10) , but I've had this problem in all version of ubuntu

[Bug 927828] Re: sudo: pam_mount.c:417: modify_pm_count: Assertion `user != ((void *)0)' failed.

2012-05-15 Thread Francesco Bonanno
Well, excuse me for the last post that I wrote, but for me the problem
was solved... Another time I'll don't do that. But now I have another
problem, with uswsusp and the log says that: "Sessions still open, not
unmounting pam_mount(spawn.c:128): error setting uid to 0 Sessions still
open, not unmounting" and it's the only error in th log. And with the
upgrade of the package on precie-proposed '/etc/pam.d/common-session-
noninteractive', the [default=] is [default=0] and I haven't problem
with the login or 'sudo id'. I tried to use tuxonice but nothing. The pc
doesn't hibernate. So I if someone can help me, I'll be happy. Thanks
and excuse for the last post. P.S. When on 02/06 I changed [default=0]
to [default=1], I haven't any problems reported from the olther users.
Is possible that? And thanks for the answers.

[Bug 658755] Re: Samsung N230 with xubuntu 10.10 fresh installed does not resume after suspend

2012-05-16 Thread Francesco Bonanno
I have the same problem with an eeepc 1001px and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, so I
filed another bug for my eeepc
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uswsusp/+bug/35, but I
have to try to recompile the kernel 3.0 series on my netbook and run
uswsusp; 'cos I think the problem is in the kernel. I have only this
chance.

[Bug 1041665] Re: gnome-disk-utility is missing palimpsest (renamed to gnome-disks)

2012-11-13 Thread Francesco Bonanno
A solution for me it's downgrade of gnome-disk-utility for the quantal
to precise verison, the precise version contains the package with the
"original" palimpsest and it works with no problem under quantal .

[Bug 927828] Re: sudo: pam_mount.c:417: modify_pm_count: Assertion `user != ((void *)0)' failed.

2012-03-06 Thread Francesco Bonanno
I've just solved this bug. To solve it, someone has to login in with
root account with 'sudo bash' in a terminal emulator, and open
/etc/pam.d/common-session-noninteractive with 'gedit /etc/pam.d/common-
session-noninteractive', and he or she has to look for the line n°16 and
he or she has to change [default=1] in [default=0]. Try 'sudo id' or
another command with 'sudo' and there is no bug!
