[Bug 261276] [NEW] Shutdown from System-menu won't work
Public bug reported: I have upgraded a couple of Gutsy systems 2 weeks ago now. Since the upgrade it's not possible to shutdown any of the systems with the menu command System -> Shut Down... -> Shut down I'm expecting the system to shutdown. I'm keeping the systems updated daily. Re: [Bug 123920] Re: Bluetooth Logitech Dinovo Keyboard/Mouse don't work
I don't think this problem has to do with the kernel version. It's more of a integration problem in the development of startup-script for bluez bluetooth services. When the package bluez-utils is removed, the problem goes away. Before bluez start, everything works fine. After bluez is started I have to reconect my keyboard-dongle for the deskset to work. [Bug 96036] Blutooth DiNovo does not work after boot
Public bug reported: First of all... I don't know if this is a DiNovo problem or a general USB/Wireless/Bluetooth problem. I'm using Logitech DiNovo Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse. The following config: - Ubuntu Feisty Herd 5 with updates made once per day. - Linux 2.6.20-12-generic #2 SMP i686 GNU/Linux - Standard installation xorg.conf (tried with custom file, no difference) This is what happens: I start the computer from cold or warm, it doesn't matter. My keyboard and mouse works until gdm is started and the prompt for user is shown. Then the keyboard and mouse stops working. If I unplug the bluethooth dongle and re-plug it, everything is up and working again. I get the feeling that something is started or scanned after gdm is started. I don't think this is a X problem since I can use my mouse for a second, just before the theme for gdm is loaded. [Bug 518452] Re: [Lucid] No longer boots with new 2.6.32-16 generic kernel
I can confirm a similar problem on my Intel 855GM. System boot OK with 2.6.31.X but I haven't been able too boot any of the 2.6.32-X kernels normaly. When I disabled ACPI with a boot option in grub, the kernel 2.6.32-15 booted, but the system where unstable and crashed after 1 minute. #> lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:00.1 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:00.3 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) USB UHCI Controller #1 (rev 03) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 03) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) USB UHCI Controller #3 (rev 03) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-M) USB2 EHCI Controller (rev 03) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev 83) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82801DBM (ICH4-M) LPC Interface Bridge (rev 03) 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801DBM (ICH4-M) IDE Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) SMBus Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 03) 02:01.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2] Network Connection (rev 05) 02:09.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI7420 CardBus Controller 02:09.2 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Texas Instruments PCI7x20 1394a-2000 OHCI Two-Port PHY/Link-Layer Controller 02:0a.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
