[Bug 234256] [NEW] Multiple passphrase dialogs shown
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 Restoring a session with multible tabs that have a stored password and request for a login Firefox opens multiple passphrase dialogs to unlock the password database. This is even more annoying if a second dialog pops up in front of the first while you are typing your passphrase. To reproduce: 1. Configure Firefox to restore the open tabs on start. 2. Open more than one websites that will ask for a password and tell Firefox to remember these passwords. 3. Quit Firefox 4. Start it again and multiple passphrase dialogs will appear This started with the first Firefox 3.0b package in Ubuntu 8.04. With the Firefox 2.x in 7.10 the behaviour was correct: One dialog independednt from the number of open tabs. package information: firefox-3.0: Installed: 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Fri May 23 10:55:43 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: firefox-3.0 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/games LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SourcePackage: firefox-3.0 Uname: Linux 2.6.24-16-generic i686 ** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Multiple passphrase dialogs shown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234256 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
