[Bug 556200] [NEW] mplayer is missing fribidi support

2010-04-05 Thread Elad Tsur
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

Since I upgraded to lucid beta, mplayer does not display Hebrew
subtitles correctly.

Description:Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release:10.04

mplayer:
  Installed: 2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16
  Candidate: 2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16
  Version table:
 *** 2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/multiverse Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What is expected to happen: Hebrew (and other RTL languages, such as
Arabic) subtitles are displayed correctly. This worked correctly in
previous Ubuntu releases.

What happened instead: Hebrew subtitles are shown in reverse. If I try to force
the use of fribidi I get the error:
> mplayer -flip-hebrew file.avi
MPlayer was compiled without FriBiDi support.

Binary package hint: geresh

The RTL support is broken in the latest version of Geresh.

Description:Ubuntu lucid (development branch)

  Candidate: 0.6.3-9.1
  Version table:
 *** 0.6.3-9.1 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages

What you expected to happen: display RTL text correctly, as it did in
previous version.

What happened instead: some lines are displayed correctly while others
are reversed. This happens even when displaying the help file.

[Bug 701790] [NEW] crop doesn't work correctly

2011-01-11 Thread Elad Tsur
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vlc

Description:Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release:10.04

Installed: 1.0.6-1ubuntu1.3

What you expected to happen: After selecting crop to aspect ratio, I
expect the picture to be cropped to desired ratio.

What happened instead: If you crop to a ratiowider than the movie (for
example the movie is 4:3 and I want to crop it to 16:9) the movie is
stretched instead of cropped.

[Bug 576979] Re: Firefox dual-IPv6/IPv4-stack favors IPv4 over IPv6 connections.

2010-06-16 Thread Elad Tsur
This is not a bug, this is a feature. If you have native IPv6
connectivity, preferring ipv6 makes sense. If you only have Teredo or
6to4 connectivity, preferring ipv6 makes no sense at all.
