[Bug 417389] Re: [karmic] Can't connect w/ Option Globesurfer Icon 1.8Mbit/s 3G usb Modem

2009-12-02 Thread Edouard Orcel
Alexander, you said "akuklev, you have a nozomi modem ... not an option
- which is what this bug is about. please file a new bug as you have a
different issue." but we created 2 bugs about the same
modemmanager/networkmanager problems with a nozomi modem. The fact is
that no developper is looking/working on these bugs 425312 and 481767...

Can you please have a look on these ?

Thanks

So I tried to setup a connection and it failed. After this failure, I

[Bug 425312] Re: [nozomi] NetworkManager does not recognize Option Fusion+ PCMCIA-card

2009-12-24 Thread Edouard Orcel
Thanks Radoslaw for your help !!! It works...

I installed comgt to register the card with PIN.
Then I added my user to the "dip" group, and did "sudo pppconfig" to configure
a connection to my provider(Orange Business France).
Now, I can use "pon" and "poff" to connect/disconnect to my provider ^^ (i'm
actually using my 3G+ card to post this comment...)

It's not as well integrated as Network-manager but it's a temporary
solution.
