hi I am new to Ubuntu and have a few errors. Ist when my pc launches and I get the dos option to run either windows xp or ubunta, I have to press escape and go into an other menu and pick 1 of 5 option from here. is this normal ?. 2nd after I gte into Ubuntu and try and run the update manager I get the following error message E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
