Hi Bilal, This did not work. I installed libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio, the system automatically removed libsdl1.2debian-alsa. ubuntu-desktop was already marked as installed. I did a reinstall of it in synaptic. Reran the upgrade, same error message. Even rebooted and logged into Gnome instead of KDE, same result. Is there more logfiles that would help?
