[Bug 260824] [NEW] Wireless support missing in 2.6.24-21.40 build

2008-08-24 Thread Doctor P
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-21-generic

I'm not sure where this should be reported, but since upgrading to the
2.6.24.21 kernel the wireless card stopped working.
The system log gives a long series of "unknown symbol" messages, such as
Aug 24 10:34:12 DoctorP-laptop kernel: [ 24.830674] ipw2200: Unknown symbol
ieee80211_wx_get_encodeext
and seems mising the drivers.
Maybe a problem with the linker or the module package?

[Bug 259075] Re: Filetransfer Window stays always on top

2008-11-17 Thread Doctor P
I reopened the bug, adding the version information as requested.

** Description changed:

When i upload or download a file the transfer-window is always on top, that i
think it's not true to be ever on top.
If the file is big the user can't chat fluently.
+
+ Update: I have this problem too: the file transfer window is on top of any
pidgin window and can't be minimized, covering chats and contact list.
+ The version in which I found this bug is 2.5.2-0ubuntu1 .

[Bug 192888] Re: firefox crashes on flash contents when using libflashsupport

2008-05-15 Thread Doctor P
I confirm that installing flashplayer 10 beta and libflashsupport solves
crashes and problems with other audio applications.
Installing only flash 10 without libflashsupport does not let other
applications play sound while a flash video is playing.
With both installed, flash player does not block audio output from other
applications and can be launched and play sound when some sound is already
being playing. In the same condition, flash 9 + libflashsupport crashed and
flash 9 without libflashsupport did not play audio.

[Bug 192888] Re: firefox crashes on flash contents when using libflashsupport

2008-05-16 Thread Doctor P
Quick correction: installing flash 10 and libflashsupport (without
ndspluginwrapper) still causes firefox crashes. Removing libflashsupport and
correcting asound.conf seems to have solved everything...
Thanks Conn and ski!

Mistake: removing libflashsupport blocks the audio, installing it makes
it work :)
