After upgrading from hardy to intrepid my timezone information wasn't
updated according to BRST (brazilian summer time)

My workaround to the problem was to remove and re-install the package.
(i.e. apt-get remove tz-brasil and apt-get install tz-brasil). That
solved the problem as when the package is re-installed it downloads the
new tz database.

Bjorn, this seems to be the bug that kiko and niemeyer have been
investigating lately. The one that about app server dying. I'm
subscribing both kiko and niemeyer so they can give us more info about
the debugging done last week where they sucessfully reproduced this bug.

team if it's possible to find a quick workaround.

Duplicates are already displayed in the master bug page. I think
diplaying dupes descriptions and comments would make the master bug page
even more busy for little benefit. Once the master bug is updated with
the info from the dupes, showing the description of dupes would be
unecessary. I'd mark this bug invalid but I'm re-targeting this to the
malone to gather the bug tracker team's input.

Looking at your bug report listing, I assume the bug report you ended up
filing was bug 351798. I can see that the time the bug was filed and the
time of the first comment is the same. The first comment contains an
attachment Dependencies.txt. So attaching when reporting a bug works,
but it seems you attached the wrong file. Do you agree?
