[Bug 1881009] [NEW] Gnome System Settings keep getting uninstalled automatically everytime I boot up the system. It has to be reinstalled by using apt install gnome-control-center.
Public bug reported: I am running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. The system settings package cannot be found anywhere or called from the command line. Also, the display scaling (set to 1.25x) gets reset. I need to manually install gnome- control-center for it to work, but even then the display scaling option malfunctions, going much more than 2x as if it started at 1.25x as base. I have no seen issues with the other settings. $ gnome-control-center Command 'gnome-control-center' not found, but can be installed with: sudo apt install gnome-control-center $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Release:20.04 apt-cache policy gnome-control-center gnome-control-center: Installed: (none) Candidate: 1:3.36.2-0ubuntu1 Version table: 1:3.36.2-0ubuntu1 500 500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-updates/main amd64 Packages 1:3.36.1-1ubuntu5 500 500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages I'm on an HP Pavilion CS2800 laptop, with / on the SSD and /home on HDD. [Bug 793109] Re: VLC Crashes X when playing an FLV file
Also Banshee crashes when playing the FLV file (it actually plays it, but as soon as I minimize the player or try to bring another application to focus, it crashes X!!). mp3 files are played properly though both by vlc as well as banshee. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793109 Title: VLC Crashes X when playing an FLV file -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
