[Bug 109151] Re: no hibernate with uswsusp installed
This bug hasn't been solved in Hardy. We could forget about the splash screen and simply make hibernate.sh work with s2disk. -- no hibernate with uswsusp installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109151 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 201482] [NEW] /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh bug causes s2disk not to work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpi-support In Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, using acpi-support 0.103 after installing uswsusp, hibernation ceases to work (the screen flashes and the screensaver starts, that's all), unless you call s2disk manually. The bug is in /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh, line 34 and 36, while calling s2disk: it does not accept any -x or -y option. Both lines must be replaced with: /sbin/s2disk -r $DEVICE ** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh bug causes s2disk not to work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201482 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Looks this issue has already been solved upstream: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232213 I hope changes will be integrated in Ubuntu soon. ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #232213 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232213 -- KDE4 Window Decorator Crashes with Compiz in Lucid Lynx 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572780 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48068] Re: grub entry added for "Compaq diagnostics" partition
A friend of mine has the same problem with an Acer M460, which has a type 12 partition (recovery) as /dev/sda1, which is deemed to be "Windows Vista (loader)" by os-prober; instead, Windows's loader is in /dev/sda2, which os-prober names "Windows Vista recovery". It should be the opposite. Moreover, it is more serious than expected: if, after installing Ubuntu and rebooting, the user choses "Windows Vista (loader)" (i.e. /dev/sda1), then the Acer recovery tool automatically starts and for some unintelligible reason it deletes Ubuntu's main partition (!). I think this is a bug in Acer's recovery tool, however. -- grub entry added for "Compaq diagnostics" partition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48068 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
