[Bug 299327] Re: NetworkManager does not work with AT&T Mercury aircard
I will second seeing this behavior. I have a friend who has a Toshiba laptop and a Sierra Wireless 881 USB network adapter. Last year I set him up with 7.10, using KPPP and the settings recommended from a Sierra Wireless guide on their site. Worked like a champ. Looking to upgrade him to 8.10 and so I was going to test it out with a livecd. Network Manager saw the device and had an option to Configure the GSM device. I said to configure, followed the Wizard and tried all 3 options (AT$T, Tethering and High Speed Tethering) with no success. The only difference that I could see in the configuration of the 3 options was the user name used to login. As soon as I would select the connection in Network Manager it would almost immediately disconnect. I would love to get this working so I can upgrade him and make his like easier for connecting. If there are any commands that would be valuable to see run let me know. I would have to get together with him but I am sure that can be arranged. Thanks. -- NetworkManager does not work with AT&T Mercury aircard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/299327 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 299327] Re: NetworkManager does not work with AT&T Mercury aircard
I did see some posts where the new KPPP was not playing very nice. The only work around was to use 3.5 instead of 4. Hopefully it is something simple to fix in NM. I have used a CDMA card with the new NM and it is awesome so I had very high hopes for the GSM setup. Re: [Bug 299327] NetworkManager does not work with AT&T Mercury aircard
This issue does not exist any longer. It was fixed in 9.04. On Sep 3, 2009 2:30 PM, "Pedro Villavicencio" wrote: Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release the Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. [Bug 1504773] Re: pkg-config fails on -Cflags options
I note that the Fedora version does not segment the atlas into lapack and blas libraries and the pkg-config works just fine.
