[Bug 957930] [NEW] AMD ATI Graphics drivers
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.04 Precise (AMD64) Alpha 1 and 2 If you have downloaded and installed the latest Catalyst \Control center from AMD for your Radeon HD graphics card and then installed the latest updates for Ubuntu 12.04 (amd64) from Alpha 1 to 2 or updated Alpha 2 then rebooted your machine you may not get any graphics output, even when loading in safe graphics mode. What you need to do to correct this problem is. 1 Boot Ubuntu into its safe mode 2 Use the command line and log on as the root user. 3 Use aticonfig --uninstall ( hope this command is right. please let me know if its not) 4 Restart your PC. Ubuntu should boot. 5 Re Install the AMD catalyst control center drivers 6 Re Start 7 Ubuntu Should now work. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957930 Title: AMD ATI Graphics drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/957930/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
