[Bug 327904] Re: Arabic keyboard layout missing ( لا ) symbol

2009-02-11 Thread /Darkness
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

  Hi there

I had this problem since Ubuntu 8.04, it affects 8.10 too

Using the default Arabic keyboard layout, when pressing the button for the
symbol لا nothing happens
so i have to press G/ل and then H/ا to write it, because لا = ل + ا

+ The same happens with لأ لآ لإ
+
+ لأ = Shift + G
+
+ لآ = Shift + B
+
+ لإ = Shift + T

I think most of Arab users are familiar with this bug, and proprietary
software like Windows shouldn't be any better at
localized and Arabic support than this great FOSS community.

[Bug 806546] Re: Modifier keys (Shift, Alt, Super) stick/cling at the mere/simple push of a button.

2011-11-20 Thread DarkneSS
OK. I've made a research. Keys don't stick with packages xserver-xorg-
core_1.10.4-1~bpo60+1_amd64.deb and xserver-xorg-input-
evdev_2.6.0-2~bpo60+1_amd64.deb from debian. But this packages break kdm
and opengl at all. Could somebody do anything for those who have this
awful bug? Do ubuntu maintainers think about users, or they should
change OS?

My previous xorg.conf you could find on the top of page:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/74655239/XorgConf.txt
Now it looks like this one: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16218400/xorg.conf
I tried to change keyboard driver from kbd to evdev, but nothing had changed.

PS Also I investigated that bug dissapears when I replace file
/usr/bin/Xorg with this one from Debian.

[Bug 875867] [NEW] The font has changed in Blogilo WYSIWYG editor

2011-10-16 Thread DarkneSS
Public bug reported:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284205

Version: 1.1 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS:11.10

The font in WYSIWYG editor has changed. And it does not match any of fonts in
KDE preferences. The font in HTML editor remains as it should be.
As far as I can tell it happened after update to 7.4.2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Blogilo
Type anything in WYSIWYG tab

Actual Results:
The font type is not the one specified in KDE preferences.

Expected Results:
The font type should be as specified in KDE preferences (the same as in HTML
editor).

This new font looks bad, but in cyrillic is close to unreadable.

[Bug 806546] [NEW] Modifier keys (Shift, Alt, Super) stick/cling at the mere/simple push of a button.

2011-07-06 Thread DarkneSS
Public bug reported:

When I press any of these keys, they sometimes stick/cling. Shift stick/cling
approximately at every second press, Alt stick/cling a couple of times a day.
Sticking/clinging disappears when I press sticked/clinged key. I haven't this
bug in terminal on Alt+Ctrl+F1. I use KDE 4.6.3, I see it in openbox too. I got
this bug after upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04. At 8.10-10.10 (from intrepid to
maverick) everything was normal.

[Bug 789267] [NEW] Shift or Alt stick at the mere push of a button.

2011-05-27 Thread DarkneSS
Public bug reported:

When I press any of these keys, they sometimes stick. Shift stick approximately
at every second press, Alt stick a couple of times a day. Sticking disappears
when I press sticked key. At 8.10-10.10 everything was normal.

I solved my problem... it was a simple permission problem. All you need
to do is to chmod +x the entire folder... (chmod -R +x FolderName).

Dont know if this is the answer for all problems, but for mine it
solved.

[Bug 119076] sortable windows/tasks list in gnome panel (wncklet)

2007-06-07 Thread Virtual DarKness
Public bug reported:

It would be really nice to be able to sort windows and tasks in the
gnome-panel windows list. It can be very useful when you use on a daily
base a set of applications like email client, internet browser, text
editor.. and you are used to find them in a certain position. Your hand
movement to the task button then becomes quite automatic but if you in
the meantime open some windows like couple of nautilus and gimp and
firefox crashes, restarting it will lead you to have the "firefox
button" at the end of the list and you'll always have to search for it..
so it would be nice to be able to drag that button back to where it was
:-) I don't use grouped windows so can't say if there could be the need
to drag and drop also the sub items of a task button (popup menu items)
..

[Bug 1865505] [NEW] Keyboard layout for non-English

Public bug reported:

The keyboard layout is changing to "en" in some applications.
I am using UBUNTU 18.04 and the system keyboard layout is "Português (Brasil)"
Three months ago i realized that in some applications the keyboard was working
as if it were english.
Looking in the internet for this problem i found that using the following
command fix the problem:
gsettings reset org.gnome.desktop.input-sources xkb-options

But the problem happens again some time later.

I cant find what is trigering the problem.
The problem only manifest in some applications. Ex: Remmina, Chromiun

I was able to find other old bugs related to this same problem.

[Bug 1853489] [NEW] Ignoring the default NAT when using the virtio adapter

2019-11-21 Thread The Darkness
Public bug reported:

I am using libvirt with KVM on a UBUNTU 18.04.3 LTS

I have the following topology inside libvirt/KVM
The default virtual network with IP range 10.0.0.0/24 on virbr0 interface with
IP 10.0.0.1 and DHCP enabled
Another virtual network named "confinada" with IP range 192.168.254.0/24 on
virbr1 interface with no IP and DHCP disabled

I have one VM with pfSense that is connected to the two networks and is acting
as a gateway to the others VMs.
I have one VM with UBUNTU 18.04 and one with Windows 7

The topology is as following:

192.168.254.103
10.0.0.1 10.0.0.138 192.168.254.1+-- Windows 7
INTERNET <--> HOST <> pfSense <-|
  192.168.11.201(default) (confinada) +-- UBUNTU
  192.168.254.2

I have sucess accessing Internet on the Windows 7 VM but not on the
UBUNTU machine.

During debug i found that the packets from the UBUNTU machine are not being
NAT'ed correctly when leaving the host machine.
I compared the two VM and found that the UBUNTU VM is using device model
"virtio" and the Windows VM is using "rtl8139".
When i changed the device model of the UBUNTU VM to "rtl8139" it start
accessing the Internet.
The pfSense VM is using the device model "virtio" on both interfaces.

I tried to acess www.google.com (172.217.28.68) on the VM and used tcpdump on
the host interface.
I have the following results:
1 - Using "virtio" device model:

2019-11-22 Thread The Darkness
I tried with and without the driver option set to qemu and the problem
continues.

[Bug 1853489] Re: Ignoring the default NAT when using the virtio adapter

2019-11-22 Thread The Darkness
I made some more tests and found that ICMP packets are NAT'ed OK
independent of the device model used.

[Bug 1853489] Re: Ignoring the default NAT when using the virtio adapter

2019-11-22 Thread The Darkness
I found that the problem only happens when the "virtio" device model is used in
both pfSense internal and UBUNTU interfaces.
I tested all combinations and get the following results:

[Bug 1853489] Re: Ignoring the default NAT when using the virtio adapter

2019-11-25 Thread The Darkness
I will recreate this scenario on my home computer so i could have more
flexibility on making tests.
I am sick and will be off for this week.
But i will return to this ASAP.

[Bug 1950188] [NEW] Virt Manager not showing screen in SPICE

2021-11-08 Thread The Darkness
Public bug reported:

I have an UBUNTU server (20.04) with libvirtd installed.
I used to connect to that server using Virt Manager from an UBUNTU desktop
(18.04).

Starting today (2021-11-08) the Virt Manager does not shows the screen
of the virtual machines.

I added the VNC server to one VM and it worked fine, but the SPICE
server is not working.

[Bug 1950188] Re: Virt Manager not showing screen in SPICE

2021-11-16 Thread The Darkness
I was unable to connect to the SPICE.
But the SPICE is configured normally.
I can connect with VNC after adding it to the VMs.
The day after SPICE was working again. And i cant figure out what happens in
the meantime.
No related update happens those days.
