[Bug 54155] Kopete sends extra newlines/breaks in messages.

2006-07-26 Thread Dan V
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kopete

I just moved from dapper to edgy. When messages are received in another
client (Gaim), that were sent by kopete 0.12.1 the messages have 1 line
break prepended and two line breaks appended to message. This is quite
an annoying bug for those receiving my messages. Old kopete (Dapper) did
not have this behavior.

** Affects: kdenetwork (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Untriaged
 Status: Unconfirmed

[Bug 49993] Re: Abiword occasionally corrupts RTF documents

2007-04-12 Thread Dan V
I've asked upstream to close it since I don't have access to the
document and I've been unable to replicate the issue for some time.

I'd like to see this in Feisty too, are there any processes we can use
to heighten awareness to higher ups so they know what's going on?

[Bug 102675] Re: Feisty boot hangs on "Configuring network interfaces"

2007-04-08 Thread Dan V
I have this problem too. I would rather see a real fix, despite most of
the beta userbase being copasetic with kludges like blanking the
interfaces file.

[Bug 92297] Re: Appointments in Clock 2.16.1 applet 1hr advanced

2007-03-14 Thread Dan V
I can confirm this bug. Appointments in the past (pre DST 03/2007) show
correctly in the Applet and evolution, though new appts created for the
future in evolution are displayed correctly in evolution, but listed as
one hour later in Clock 2.16.1.

[Bug 56651] Re: Missing passkey-agent binary

2006-10-01 Thread Dan V
I too am experiencing this problem. I think the priority should be
raised so it can be fixed for edgy. Bluetooth is a very common
technology and it's adoption rate is accelerating. To have support
missing from edgy is a big problem.

[Bug 56651] Re: Missing passkey-agent binary

2006-10-01 Thread Dan V
Compile passkey-agent like this:

sudo apt-get install build-essential cdbs libdbus-glib-1-dev debhelper

sudo apt-get source bluez-utils

cd bluez-utils-3.1/

sudo ./debian/rules binary

(This builds a deb in ../)

Install that, or cp ./hcid/passkey-agent /usr/bin/ or run ./hcid
/passkey-agent

[Bug 49993] Abiword occasionally corrupts RTF documents

2006-06-16 Thread Dan V
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: abiword

Unable able to consistently reproduce, but this has happened to me twice in the
past 24 hours. The exact steps that happen are that I'm editing a fairly
complex and big rtf document, saving quite a bit (every major change), and so
on.
Eventually, I start to see slow downs (times when the mouse is almost laggy or
applications aren't switching very fast), so I save my document and exit
abiword immediately. When I reopen abiword and try to open my document I was
editing I get "Error importing file: .rtf". , of course,
was the file I was editing.

The first time this happend I just opened it in gedit and was able to
recover my text. The second time this happened I vi'd the file and
compared it to a good rtf I just made in abiword. The now corrupted RTF
contained this at the very bottom:

\pard\plain\ltrpar\ql\sl240\slmult1\intbl\itap1{\f1\fs20\lang1033{\*\listtag0}
$40,950.00}\cell{\*\abiendcell}\row}{\*\abiendtable}\par
\pard\plain\ltrpar\ql\itap0\par

The known good RTF contained something like this:

{\s28\f0\fs24\lang1033{\*\listtag0}\par}}

So I just added two }} to the end of the corrupted RTF and I could open
it and reedit again.
