[Bug 406064] [NEW] tendracc -time does not work

2009-07-28 Thread Dan Fandrich
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tendra

The -time option errs out on tendracc. e.g. "tendracc -time hello.c"
returns:

builtin/mkdir /var/tmp/tccZWV9r7
/bin/time /usr/lib/TenDRA/machines/linux/2.6.24-19-server/80x86/bin/tdfc2 -n
/usr/lib/TenDRA/lib/startup/Bounds.ansi/default.pf
-f/usr/lib/TenDRA/lib/startup/Modes/Xc
-Nansi:/usr/lib/TenDRA/lib/include/ansi.api
-I/usr/lib/TenDRA/lib/startup/Bounds.ansi -I/usr/lib/TenDRA/lib/startup/Modes
hello.c /var/tmp/tccZWV9r7/hello.j
tcc: Error: Can't execute '/bin/time'.
builtin/remove /var/tmp/tccZWV9r7

The time program is actually in /usr/bin/time, not /bin/time.

version 4.1.2-18

[Bug 413732] [NEW] tendracc allows negative length arrays

2009-08-14 Thread Dan Fandrich
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tendra

tendracc in tendra version 4.1.2-18 allows an invalid negative-length
array definition in some cases. The construct in which this is allowed
is often used in autoconf tests that assume the compiler will cause an
error when it is encountered. The attached C program shows the problem.

[Bug 806581] [NEW] Install script hard codes mkfontdir from incorrect path

2011-07-06 Thread Dan Fandrich
Public bug reported:

On installation of xfonts-nexus 0.0.2-14, the following error message is
shown:

Setting up xfonts-nexus (0.0.2-14) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xfonts-nexus.postinst: 13: /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontdir: not
found

Sure enough, mkfontdir from xfonts-utils 1:7.5+2 is found at
/usr/bin/mkfontdir instead.

[Bug 388345] Re: Gimp will not save Olympus .orf files opened through UFRaw as .jpg.

2011-08-02 Thread Dan Fandrich
Can you give a sample .orf file that demonstrates this problem? I was
not able to reproduce this with libexif12-0.6.19-1,
gimp-2.6.8-2ubuntu1.3, and ufraw-0.16-1build1 with a sample .orf image
from
http://img.photographyblog.com/reviews/olympus_ep1/sample_images/olympus_ep1_07.orf.
If it is a libexif problem, it's probably been fixed in the newer
release.

[Bug 712115] Re: Text of libexif Template “libexif-12” is incorrect

2011-02-02 Thread Dan Fandrich
"knot" is both a unit of speed and a unit of distance. Nautical miles
may be slightly clearer here, but the context makes it obvious which
meaning of knot is being used. Since the original text is what's used in
the EXIF spec itself, I'm hesitant to change it.

2011-02-03 Thread Dan Fandrich
Normative documents like the Random House Dictionary
(http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/knot), Princeton's WordNet
(http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=knot), Webster's Revised
Unabridged Dictionary (http://dictionary.die.net/knot) and the Century
Dictionary (http://www.leoyan.com/century-
dictionary.com/cent2jpgframes.php?volno=04&page=3306)?. This form of
usage seems accepted; it's not "clearly" a mistake, although it might
have been accidental. In any case, there doesn't seem to be a compelling
reason to leave it this way; I'll fix it in the source.

Confirmed! FWIW, it looks like an upstream problem. The Ubuntu diff
doesn't touch ppmrainbow. netpbm-10.35.76 from upstream doesn't suffer
from this problem.
