I reloaded 12.04 Beta to clean up the / file that some how had filled up
its 10 Gb of space.
Consequently all the crash reports were deleted.
I had already sent crash reports via apport several days ago.
Sorry I no longer have the crash reports.

[Bug 888582] Re: weather app cannot load

2011-11-10 Thread Cliffm
When using Unity the app would just be gone. Was not able to make it happen, I
would look to see the temperature and it would not be there.
Unity caused other problems so I have switched to Gnome.

[Bug 799974] Re: Not retrieving messages from AOL mail

2011-06-23 Thread Cliffm
Hi Pedro
No I am not that I know of.
My connection is a single computer connected to the internet through a cable
modem. The provider is Comcast
Evolution received the header for your email but could not read the email.
This is the alert

'Unable to retrieve message
Error fetching message: UID FETCH completed'

The last message that was received came at 08:11, your message came at 08:56.
hope this helps

I am answering this from Thunderbird.
Thunderbird just notified me of a new message at 10:02, Evolution did not
receive the message at all.

[Bug 785797] Re: Evolution cannot read aol webmail

2011-06-24 Thread Cliffm
Pedro
in searching AOL I found further instructions on setting up using other email
applications.
I added the ports :993 and :587 to the receiving and sending sections of
Evolution setup.
It took Evolution about an hour to sort thru all the emails, but now seems to
be working.

The only thing not working now is the cbCouch function

Thanks Cliff

[Bug 785797] [NEW] Evolution cannot read aol webmail

2011-05-20 Thread Cliffm
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Evolution crashed several days ago about 5-10-11. Now it shows email for
months 1 & 2 of year 2010. Now cannot send or receive.

The Calander, Notes, Task and Contacts, Personnel and CouchDB, all seem
to work.

Things I have done searched Google, reloaded desktop, reloaded Natty,
ran 10.04 along side of Natty, all with no results. Did not find a
.evolution file so I created one it shows 0 entries.

There is no problem opening my AOL from the web.

Thunderbird will load the AOL account, from Natty, but constantly sends
warnings

'The current operation on "inbox" did not succeed. The mail server
c2mca...@netscape.net.uid FETCH complete'.

I got to liking Evolution because it is a PIM and when it was working
was easy to use

Any suggestions on what to try next.
Thanks Cliff

[Bug 785797] Re: Evolution cannot read aol webmail

2011-05-21 Thread Cliffm
What I did to solve this.
I noticed Evolution could not open certain emails from AOL. When I opened AOL
it would open at a certain email. I tried to open that email and AOL notified
me that it could not, so I deleted it. Then opened Evolution and found it had
loaded more of the emails. Evolution loaded up to a certain email again by
noting the date of the email then going back to AOL and finding this dated
email and attempted to open the next newer email and found AOL could not open
the email. deleted the email again and Evolution read some more.

Continued this process until Evolution loaded AoL completely.

Something happened from Evolution to AOL when Evolution was closed and
crashed?

Hope this helps
Thanks Cliff
