[Bug 1579067] [NEW] No option for 1:1 mouse mapping in the settings
Public bug reported: It is impossible to map mouse dots to pixels one by one through the system settings or in other words to disable mouse acceleration at all. Although it is clearly the most intuitive behavior of a cursor. I was experiencing extremely heavy acceleration by default in 15.10 so my 10.000 DPI mouse was nearly unusable even with 3.000 DPI. This is only acceptable if you are able to change it via GUI. I wanted to wait to file a bug until Unity8 which I expected to arrive earlier. I hope that such an option might arrive in Unity8 at least. A temporary workaround was to create a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-mouse-acceleration.conf in 15.10. But it's extremely annoying and there is neither guarantee that the settings provided by ArchWiki for example, really lead to a 1:1 mapping. Nor will it work consistently when mouse drivers change and so on. So finally - such an option belongs to any mouse settings interface in operating systems in general - without any doubt. [Bug 1579077] [NEW] No option for input device monitoring in the sound settings
Public bug reported: I miss an option to directly send the sound input to the output devices in Unity. I always have to write "pactl load-module module-loopback latency_msec=1" in the terminal so far. As it is an absolutely essential feature which also works in common operating systems it is surprising that it hasn't been added to the unity sound settings yet. [Bug 1588600] [NEW] Not enough preloading
Public bug reported: The pages that I leave by scrolling on a new page quickly disappear. When I scroll up again it takes too much time to see them appear again. Although the program should be intelligent enough to know that it's just a matter of time that I like to switch to the linked pages. It also takes too much time for the next page to load scrolling down. It is extremely annoying, causing irritation and breaking the workflow. If it's a feature to save RAM: the document has a size of 616kb and I guess it would be pathetic to save them when I have 32 gigs of RAM and 8 gigs of VRAM... I think that everything below 10MB can clearly be preloaded when the document get's opened and stay in RAM until one closes the document. Even when the computer is far behind the times. [Bug 1590552] [NEW] Windows do not initially start maximized
Public bug reported: Windows of several applications start in the unmaximized mode at first and then resize to the maximized mode, when they have been closed being maximized. I can reproduce the behavior with Firefox and Libre Office, though system apps such as the Ubuntu Software app or the File Manager seem to start flawlessly in the maximized mode. The issue can be reduced if one only uses the maximized mode and drags the window boarders near the screen boarder when it's not maximized, then maximize it and restart the program. It only lessens the visual effect because the visual difference between the unmaximized and the maximized window decreases. There are many complaints about this bug in forums etc because it is extremely annoying. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590552 Title: Windows do not initially start maximized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1590552/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
