[Bug 422224] Re: two-finger scrolling does not work on Acer AO531h

2010-02-11 Thread Brad Greco
This might be related to Bug #308191.

I'm experiencing similar issues on an Eee 1005HA. synclient only ever
reports 0 or 1 fingers detected, despite the fact that multitouch works
correctly in Windows 7.

[Bug 510845] Re: pause doesn't work

2010-05-25 Thread Brad Greco
I'm noticing a problem that could be the same as the one mentioned here.
Sometimes when I pause a song, it keeps playing even though Rhythmbox
says it's paused. The only way to stop it that I've found is to close
Rhythmbox.

I'm seeing the problem with a few mp3 files I have. Most seem to work
properly, but some refuse to pause.

It only happens when crossfading is enabled. The problematic files
pause properly when I disable crossfading.

I've attached a log of a reproduction of the problem. I opened a song,
pressed play, and pressed pause a few seconds later. The title bar
changed to say "test.mp3 (Paused)", but it continued to play.

[Bug 308191] Re: Multi fingers touch doesn't be correctly recognized

2009-10-06 Thread Brad Greco
I'm also getting the line

Synaptics Capabilities (276): 1, 1, 1, 0, 0

in my output on a eeepc 1005ha. I'm still able to get 2-finger
scrolling in Windows using two-finger-scroll (http://code.google.com/p
/two-finger-scroll/). I think xinput is incorrectly detecting the
touchpad capabilities, unless the two-finger-scroll program uses the
emulation technique to make it work.

[Bug 308191] Re: Multitouch support not available for Synaptics touchpads v7.2

2010-11-16 Thread Brad Greco
I just tried in on a Asus EEE 1005HA, using Maverick x86
(2.6.35-23-generic).

Two-finger scrolling (both horizontal and vertical) works wonderfully,
as does tapping with two fingers. It doesn't seem to detect a 3-finger
tap, though. Then again, I don't know if my touchpad has the hardware
capabilities of detecting a 3-finger tap.

[Bug 1453467] [NEW] Upper right corner of maximized windows do not accept clicks

2015-05-09 Thread Brad Greco
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu MATE 15.04
compiz 0.9.12.1+15.04+20150410.1-0ubuntu1

When a window is maximized, clicking in the very upper right corner should
register as a click on the title bar (and, depending on the theme, the close
button), allowing you to whip your mouse to the corner without needing to aim
for the close button. Instead, the click gets sent to either:
 - the window that is maximized on the next workspace to the right, or
 - the Desktop, if there is no maximized window on the next workspace.

Steps to reproduce:
1. If you have a panel at the top of the screen, remove it.
2. Minimize or close all windows.
2. Open a terminal and maximize it.
3. Run xwininfo.
4. Click the very top right corner of the screen.

Expected result: xwininfo returns information about the maximized
terminal window

Actual result: xwininfo returns information about the Desktop window.

If there's any more info I can provide, please let me know. It's quite
annoying to need to aim for the tiny close button instead of the
infinitely large corner of the screen, especially with a touchpad.

The Window Decorator plugin is enabled, using /usr/bin/gtk-window-
decorator. I tried switching to Emerald and got the same results.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1466946] Re: Could not display ccda://sr0/ after replacing a dvd

2024-06-29 Thread Brad Greco
I'm still seeing this in nemo 5.2.4 with audio CDs.
Workaround: Quit nemo using nemo -q, then try again.
