Hi, I have the same problem with shutting down the system. Goodevening, Because the KDM package didn't work for me right now i removed "splash" from the " /boot/grub/menu.lst" and did a updat-grub. This works fine but only one time . The next time i logged in a noticed that the grub/menu.lst had restored itself. Jonathan, Forgot to mention that. While installing the package with (kpackage) i got a notification that i was degrading from kdm 3.5.6-20.1 to Kdm 3.5.6-20 and that caused an dependency failure. that was all the information i got from Kpackage. Hi, After installing the package as described above i got notifications that other packges should be up/downgraded as well. Doing that resulted again in Packages that should be up-downgraded. When i installed 7.04 for the first time i upgraded the whole system. Having the same issue. As a workaround, I have also found that the headphones are detected after suspending the laptop.
