2015-04-07 Thread Bjarke Sandbeck
Public bug reported:

Nearly daily the ubuntu automatic software updater runs. But now it
crashes every time trying to run, and gives a "System crasches" error
message. It don't say that its firefox, until I decide to report the
problem. Tried to restart, update agauin, and so, but gets the system
error message all the time now. Also when not trying to start firefox,
but on every try on update the system.

Tried apt-get autoremove -f, and then apt-get update and upgrade and autoremove

2015-06-16 Thread Bjarke Sandbeck
SOLVED

Has tried :
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Result: Still got the errormessage.

Did instead:
Boot up 2 previous versions back in stead of only 1 (repeatly pressing
shift at boot and then choose the version 2 steps back)
Then I ran:
sudo apt-get autoremove -f
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get autoremove (just in case)

Now I'm up running as normal again.

Thanks.

Best regards
Bjarke

Re: [Bug 1026336] Re: package inkscape (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: underproces dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returnerede afslutningsstatus 2

2012-08-01 Thread Bjarke Sandbeck
That happend 8 times same week, but now it newer happens more. I guess
it is solved by another upgrade somehow, because i newer installed
InkScape and newer going to. I belive that some components in other of
my graphic programs also is compatible with inkscape, and maybe had a
crossreference somehow to inkscape.
However, i don't have the problem anymore.

[Bug 292585] Re: Evolution Mail Notification has no sound

2011-12-30 Thread Bjarke Sandbeck
For me, the following worked:

In Evolution, go to: Edit > Plugins and choose the plugin called something
like "Notification of new mail" (my version is in another language), and open
the tab "Configuration" on the right. The FIRST line, I UNmarked (called
something like "Play only sound when mails arrive in the INBOX".
The next fielt I marked "Play sound everytime mails arrives".

Below that, You can choose "Beep" (standard), and that don't work, so I
choose "Play from file" and found a file that I like, and everything now
works fine.

BTW: Happy NewYear 2012 :-)
