[Bug 336736] Re: NetworkManager does not call /etc/network/if-pre-up.d scripts

2009-06-12 Thread Bertrand Marc
I have the same issue. I'd like to run macchanger to change my MAC
address before the interface is brought up. I used to do this with
Network-Manager 0.6 in if-pre-up.d/, but since Network-Manager 0.7, my
script to change my MAC address isn't called anymore...

Is there a workaround to change the MAC address and use Network-Manager
?

Thanks a lot for your offer ! As I said a few months ago, I'd really
like to change my mac address and use Network-manager at the same time.
And the only way I know to do that is to use macchanger during pre-up...
Do you know a workaround ?

Re: [Bug 859017] Re: PlayOnLinux 3.8 no longer supported

2011-09-26 Thread Bertrand Marc
Hi,

First of all I want to say how ridiculous and short minded it is to
deliberately break all previous versions of PlayOnLinux, without
thinking at least a sec about consequences in distributions. I mean,
guys, you are not in beta anymore, what would you say if all firefox
versions below 6 couldn't browse anymore ? All you'll earn is poor
downstream reputation and probably a fork from a user who decided he had
enough of this centralized architecture.

I am currently the Debian maintainer of the playonlinux package, so I
prepared a package for 4.0.12 (trying to follow the 12 new versions
published without notice). It is waiting for a sponsor to enter Debian.
You are welcome to use it if you want to upload it to Ubuntu directly:
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/p/playonlinux/playonlinux_4.0.12-1.dsc

That said, I am not sure I'll keep being the Debian maintainer of
playonlinux for long.
