[Bug 525774] [NEW] inter dereference at 00000018

2010-02-22 Thread Benny Källström
Public bug reported:

I was entering www.aftonbladet.se in the adress bar in firefox 3.6 and
pressed enter. Then the screen on my laptop had some grafic problem,
there was red, blue, green, yellow, brown lines on the screen, and it looked
very wrong. I am able to reproduce this problem: going to
www.aftonbladet.se makes the screen crash again. And in the messages log
this looks like a problem:

and after this my screen crashes. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 21 feb. daily

[Bug 425330] [NEW] Ubuntu 9.10 alpha 5 installation error

2009-09-06 Thread Benny Källström
Public bug reported:

This is a problem that i have had since Ubuntu 9.10 alpha 4. I am using
an HP 6830s laptop. Ubuntu 9.10 alpha 4 clean install works fine. If i
update the system with update manager, and restart the sytem, ubuntu
boots and i can see the new ubuntu loading screen, the computer thinks
for a minute and then the screen goes black for one second, back to the
loading screen, goes black again, and so it repeats. I can´t do anything
when it is doing that. Only close down the computer. I have tried Ubuntu
9.10 alpha 5, and it is the same error there. Can´t boot up the live cd.

So i have no idea what could cause this. Still i do like alpha 4.

[Bug 459153] Re: Google Earth crash with Ubuntu 9.10 open source 3D Drivers ATI

2009-10-25 Thread Benny Källström
With normal "vanilla" Karmic i can´t use Google Earth with Ubuntus own
open source ati-drivers. I think my card is not supported?

When you mean "the lag with opensource ati drivers". Well i can say that
opening and closing windows is not so smooth, it is not a big problem
for me.

The 1-2 second lag is there with the fglrx driver, not with the open-
source ati driver.

[Bug 459153] Re: Google Earth crash with Ubuntu 9.10 open source 3D Drivers ATI

2009-10-24 Thread Benny Källström
I hope this new information helps in some way. I can confirm that when i
use the 2d open-source ati driver with google earth it lags so much that
i can´t use it. And if you mean the ati fglrx driver, i can not use the
fglrx driver on my laptop because of a 2 second lag with every window i
open or close. And watching a movie with fglrx enabled is like like
playing a blue-ray disc in a cd player, it won´t work.

I am using an HP 6830s laptop.
