[Bug 245272] [NEW] Native SCSI library no longer works
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine I believe this happened at the transition from IDE pata to libata pata support; unfortunately there is no longer the IDE driver for my system (via chipset) to confirm this. When running cdex (now at cdexos.sourceforge.net) under wine, a warning dialog which says "Native NT SCSI Library support is not supported by this operating system." and the app is no longer able to access CD audio tracks. Re: [Bug 245272] Re: Native SCSI library no longer works
I'm afraid I can't answer in detail right now. I know it worked on 7.10 with the native package, and I'm pretty sure it worked on 8.04 before release. I'll have to dust off a spare drive, find my install CDs, and check in a little while. [Bug 69754] Re: Edgy: kopete sending instead of space
Just ran into this bug again. Local is Kopete 0.12.7 with KDE 3.5.9, remote is Trillian 3.1 (May 19, 2008), not pro. Remote reports that the first message from me contains many nbsp: (I typed 'Woof!' followed by Enter, remote copy/pasted back) Woof! and that subsequent messages only follow with deliberate multiple spaces. [Bug 245272] Re: Native SCSI library no longer works
Found the bug, oddly enough, in /etc/fstab. What appears to have happened: System originally installed with Ubuntu 7.04 which used the IDE driver layer (thus the cdrom device was /dev/hda) and then dist-upgraded to 7.10 and then 8.04, which uses libata/SCSI (which moved the cdrom device to /dev/scd0 but didn't update the fstab entry). So, aparantly wine looks at /etc/fstab to find the device corresponding to the cdrom defined in the [drives] tab of winecfg. -- Native SCSI library no longer works https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245272 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 939251] [NEW] Music sounds 'clipped', distorted.
Public bug reported: This may be a libao issue? Pianobar logs into my account, gets my stations, plays the station I select. However, it sounds like it's all 'clipped' samples. I tried changing the format: aacplus, mp3, and mp3-hifi all have this heavy clipping.
