[Bug 493484] [NEW] Unable to boot: bad clusters and appearance of faulty HDD

2009-12-07 Thread Arturtje
Public bug reported:

Upon starting Ubuntu Karmic Koala, the Hard Drive fails to boot.
It loads into BusyBox and mentions bad sectors on the Hard Drive.
In the past this relates to a faulty HDD which is not recoverable.
This is fixable however by fsck on sda.
My concern is that this has now been seen on multiple systems.

[Bug 530195] Re: Twitter doesn't work at all

2010-04-19 Thread Arturtje
As if by pure magic, this morning when I logged onto my computer I was
welcomed by a working Gwibber and memenu, together with the ability to
add facebook, send and recieve messages. I don't know what you guys at
Gwibber HQ did, but make a note of your steps because it looks like you
fixed it...for me anyway

[Bug 545958] [NEW] Non-English not supported

2010-03-24 Thread Arturtje
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: playonlinux

This is similar to the bug reported with the 'Desktop' creation on the
Finnish installation.

My friend uses Ubuntu 9.10 in Dutch localisation, this also means that he has
wine installed in Dutch.
The problem arrises that when he installs a program using POL, it cannot find
the file simply because under Dutch installations Program Files is called
'Programma bestanden' and POL can't find this because it is not English

Please note,
I can also confirm the same problem with the HUE fix through totem player. This
is now in the released 9.10 version.
