[Bug 374034] Re: black rectangles on Radeon HD 3200
using version xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd 1.2.5+git20090506.4be5f715-0ubuntu0tormod the problem is not solved. I'm soryy for inexact report. Actually my file is an exact example, the full name is just short ("Я" which means "Me" in Russian). You can change "XXX" to "123", it doesn't change anything. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: upstart After upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 a problem appeared. When I want to shut down or reboot my PC, I can't do it any way (using GUI, console, power button). I tried fix from ubuntuforums.org (with rmmod snd-hda-intel), it didn't help. I suppose the most "hard" way to shut down is enter "halt -f" booted in recovery mode to root shell. But only a message "System halted" appeared. When I want to run in recovery mode, NTP server messages spoil the menu, so that it's difficult to use it anymore. To reproduce the bug some interface should bring up not immediately after boot, after some time. In my case it is PPP-connection. [Bug 489615] [NEW] avahi-daemon respawning too fast, stopped
Public bug reported: Debugging this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/489327 I found something strange. When boot in grub to recovery mode and while the menu is displayed (resume boot, root shell, etc), I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del. And then I could see error messages, I attached the photo of the screen. I'm not sure this is a bug in this package, but you should say for sure, there the bug is. Or, possibly, there is no bug? [Bug 549151] [NEW] Incorrect and undocumented behavior of mount (floppy)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: util-linux I was trying to mount a floppy. in my /etc/fstab there is an entry /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user, noauto, noexec 0 0 But I actually forgot about this, and mounted it using commands #mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy #mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy #mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy All these commands lead to just nothing. No messages are printed to console, syslog or dmesg. Filesytem was not mounted. #mount /media/floppy0 After that I changed fstab entry to /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 vfat rw,user, noauto, noexec 0 0 And again, I couldn't mount floppy. The only way I could mount was removing the entry from /etc/fstab and entering for example #mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy So, I can mention several bugs, if it is needed, I can create separate reports for each. 1) In man page for mount, I can't understand, what should be done, if there is a entry for device is /etc/fstab, and I typed arguments to mount it with other options to another mount point. I see, that the behavior is silently ignore options. 2) If I am right in 1), that the behavior is silently ignore options, I think that it is bad behavior. A message should be issued at least. 3) What errors happen, when I was trying to mount using fstab entry? There is at least reporting bug: no messages printed. [Bug 805211] [NEW] AMD RADEON HD 6450 random pixels on display
Public bug reported: I'm trying to use a AMD RADEON HD 6450 video card, but it fails to show a login screen, see screen photo attached. I've tried different kernel (2.6.38-8, 2.6.38-10, 2.6.39-3) and driver versions (from main repository and from xorg-edgers ppa), no success. The fglrx drivers makes a SegFault on my system. [Bug 794241] [NEW] Keyboard layout is not correctly displayed after suspend
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver When I try to enter password to a lock window after suspend, I see "USA" keyboard layout. [Bug 610053] [NEW] Resume from suspend fails whecn DVB-S dw2102 is plugged in
Public bug reported: I have a Tevii S600 device for satellite Internet connection. It works good, but resume from suspend fails with this device plugged in. Even if I just plug it in, do not scan any signals and do not create any dvbnet devices. Without this device, everything is OK.
