[Bug 409285] [NEW] Old sierra module in Karmic Koala
Public bug reported: I noticed that even in Karmic Koala there still is an old version 1.3.7 of sierra module for Sierra Wireless modems. Sierra is already providing version 1.7.2 in their support site and this is what the newest Sierra modems require to work. (Daily build 05 Aug 09.) I have tested Sierra MC8792V modem with 9.04 and it does not work with the older module, but works OK after installing sierra v.1,7.2. So why not include 1.7.2 in Karmic Koala? Actually the correct version today would be 1.7.30.
