[Bug 1173073] Re: Broken sounds in Skype

2013-11-10 Thread Andrei Karpenko
I'm using 4.2.0.11 and I have this buzzing problem. Interestingly, if
you kill skype and then restart it you will not be able to hear anything
coming from Skype - it just turns silent

[Bug 1247653] Re: ubuntu 13.10 does not boot

2013-11-10 Thread Andrei Karpenko
Affected me as well. Destroyed my Windows 7 partition without even
alerting me. Several months of work. I didn't wait for THIS from Ubuntu.

I just cannot express how I feel in human words.

Allright, I resized partition so I could try to intall Windows 7 on the
free space. Windows installer doesn't want to continue because it
"cannot install in the GPT style".

[Bug 1247653] Re: ubuntu 13.10 does not boot

2013-11-10 Thread Andrei Karpenko
upd: at the start I had Windows 10 + Ubuntu 12.10 partitions. I tried to
upgrade 12.10 to 13.10 with running clean install. Installer asked me if
I want to install alongside with Ubuntu 12.10 or replace Ubuntu 12.10

I chose "replace", as there was no mentioning of Windows partition - I
though it wouldn't even touch it. Apparently it did, in a very bad way.

[Bug 570291] Re: Authentication screen doesn't auto close

2011-02-02 Thread Andrei Karpenko
I am also experiencing this problem.
I have Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit on Toshiba T-130 laptop which has an Intel
integrated video. There is absolutely nothing in
"System/Administration/Additional Drivers".

killall gnome-panel works sometimes, not always.
"start skype in minimized mode" doesn't work
