[Bug 5806] Re: gnome-panel crash for specific user
This bug is also affecting me. The System where working fine, until yesterday that the computer turn off because of power off. Then when I try to login as the user that I where using before the shutdown I get a error message from BugZilla. I attach the file.. But the error only happens when I log in with that user, when I log with a different user everything is fine. Gnome-Panel version 2.16.1. [Bug 897686] [NEW] update-manager fails to upgrade with socks proxy
Public bug reported: I'm trying to upgrade from natty to oneiric using do-release-upgrade. The problem is that I have internet only through socks using a local shh tunnel connection created by using: ssh -g -D user@ip. The tunnel works great with firefox and using tsocks or proxychains with other applications, also works with do-release-upgrade at first stage, but after the "downloading upgrade tool" it clears the screen and seems like a call to apt-get or synaptic (or is it aptitude?) and all the connections tries keeps failing. After login, for about 10 seconds everything works fine, but then it crashes and there is a infinite loop at the taskbar with the text "starting file manager", it never stops and I have to kill it with many "pkill nautilus" at terminal. I have no extensions installed (according to Extension manager).
