Re: [Bug 190298] Re: Impossible to boot with latest kernel version

2008-05-08 Thread Anatol
Latest release of Ubuntu does not work out of box on my Fujitsu-Siemens D
Amilo 1840.

When I tried Ubuntu-beta a couple months ago it had the same symptoms as
described above. I hoped that Ubuntu team would fix it. But problem still
exists and I think it is very important to ignore it.

I have the same problem with beta2. Lucid is unusable if you have more

Is any ETA when this bug will be fixed? Do you need any additional

I do not understand why it hangs. Where I can find the upstart logs? How

[Bug 1300211] Re: Can't install both gcc-multilib and gcc-arm-linux-gnueabihf

2015-10-15 Thread Anatol Pomozov
I see this problem as well. I need gcc-multilib for some proprietary
software and arm64 gcc for my project. The fact that Ubuntu does not
allow to install these 2 packages is rather annoying.

For me it sounds like a bug with packaging. Other distros (like Linux
Arch) allow to install both packages without any problem.

[Bug 960457] Re: amuled crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message()

2013-07-13 Thread Anatol Pomozov
There are few findings:

1) It is a bug in wx code (GSocket) in 2.8
2) wx developers recommend to use 2.9, as socket bugs in 2.8 most likely will
not be fixed
3) I compiled amule with wx 2.9 and it seems work fine (no crashes so far)

[Bug 711567] Re: Double window controls in Chromium after enabling "Use System Title Bar and Borders"

I use Ubuntu 11.10 and I see this issue as well. "Use system bar" fixes
the issue, but I would prefer if "Hide system bar" worked as well.

Another issue here - close/minimize/maximize controls should be Unity
themed (in case of "Hide system bar"), currently they are Chrome-themed
and look too alien in Unity.

[Bug 767423] [NEW] Network manager does not show available access points

2011-04-20 Thread Anatol Pomozov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have a laptop “Lenovo IdealPad S12 (Intel)” Ubuntu 10.04 works
perfectly fine on it. But 10.10 has some serious issues with wifi и
ACPI, that is why I can’t use Mavrick.

I just installed Natty (beta2) on my laptop (/home has been left from my
previous installation). It works better now - but I still see the issue
with WiFi.

My wifi hardware is “Broadcom BCM4312”, driver - proprietary STA, latest
version.

http://habreffect.ru/files/eb4/a6a5871d5/image1.png

If I manually reload wl.ko module (using rmmod & insmod) then iwlist
scan gives me a list of available wifi access points:
http://habreffect.ru/files/20f/1a1b7a1e8/image2.png

But Network-Manager does not show any access points. Here is more info
about driver and Network-Manager:

Hi, Mathieu.

Andrew Grinchenko is the one who has the problem on this Laptop with the

said (Wicd works fine) it looks like the problem with the Network

Is there any other information we can provide that can shed more light
