2008-09-26 Thread AlterEgo

Evolution 2.22.3.1.

The fix Keith proposes only works temporarily. Then again emails get
"missing".

Hi Bogdan Butnaru ,

I really appreciate your Amarok 1.4 packages. Are you considering updating
those packages according to:
 [USN-739-1] Amarok vulnerabilities?

Many thanks!

Just a "me too". I hav exactly the same issue. Only on Dapper.
Switching the printer off and on again causes the next print job to start.

[Bug 219577] Re: Impossible to create dvd-video iso image

2008-05-03 Thread AlterEgo
I suffer the same issue. If I rip the DVD files to disk and them burn them
back, the k3b/mkisofs error message is the same as above.
However, this only occurs if the total file size is close to 4.4 GB. Smaller
DVDs (< 4 GB) do not seem to be affected.
I have not tried other distro's than 8.04 and have not encountered this issues
before, therefore I assumed it started from the 8.04 upgrade.

[Bug 57050] Re: Brother HL-1430 USB printer will only print once

2007-02-14 Thread AlterEgo
Just to confirm my previous post: a fresh re-install of Edgy fixed my problem
(half October 2006). However: the problem has returned for me too. I don't know
when this happended or what caused it, but occasionally I have to power-cycle
my HL-1430 in order to get the remaining prints.
I'm very sorry if I gave you guys false hope.

I am currently playing with Feisty, and I will report my findings.

[Bug 57050] Re: Brother HL-1430 USB printer will only print once

2007-02-15 Thread AlterEgo
Tried the same printer on Feisty (14 Feb. 2007).
The printer still needs a powercycle to continue printing after the first
document. Remarkably (?), printing also continues after I put the laptop in
suspend: when it wakes up after suspending, printing automagically resumes. I
believe the entire USB subsytem is restarted after suspending.

[Bug 57050] Re: Brother HL-1430 USB printer will only print once

2007-02-18 Thread AlterEgo
The disconnects last only a few seconds, then a re-connect automatically
occurs. This happens on both an USB ext. harddisk and a flashdisk. I
Noticed the disconnect because of error messages in an rsync-backup.

I repeated my findings from yesterday; see the log-file attached.
