[Bug 41272] Re: [FGLRX] kernel drivers kills USB subsystem
Same problem at ASUS A6R-B002. I have problems with shutdown (but not always). USB works good for about 20 min and after that - stops responding. Reboot is needed. That's very frustrating. -- [FGLRX] kernel drivers kills USB subsystem https://launchpad.net/bugs/41272 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 41272] Re: [FGLRX] kernel drivers kills USB subsystem
I have noticed that if I use older kernel (2.6.12-10) then this problem doesn't occure. No mouse, usb or shutdown problems. When I switch to 2.6.15-25 - mouse dies. Everything is updated. -- [FGLRX] kernel drivers kills USB subsystem https://launchpad.net/bugs/41272 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187034] Re: AbiWord-2.4 crashes when inserting LaTeX
I can confirm this. I'm running laptop with Celeron M, Ati Xpress 200m, 512 MB RAM. I have fresh install of Xubuntu 8.10 with all updates installed. I can put simple things like "a", "a^b", but "a=" or "\frac{}{}" makes Abiword crash. ** Attachment added: "abiword_output.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14247281/abiword_output.txt -- AbiWord-2.4 crashes when inserting LaTeX https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187034 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187034] Re: AbiWord-2.4 crashes when inserting LaTeX
I made mistake: I have Xubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) not 8.10 :) I tried to update AbiWord to latest version (2.6.3) hoping it will fix this problem. I followed http://abisource.com/wiki/Install_on_Ubuntu, installed new abiword and abiword-plugin packages. It still doesn't work. Only difference is that now it prints "Aborted" instead of "Segmentation fault". ** Attachment added: "abiword_output.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14247620/abiword_output.txt -- AbiWord-2.4 crashes when inserting LaTeX https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187034 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 97306] Re: [feisty] installer reports I/O error dev fd0
I have Core 2 Duo, P35 mainboard, SATA HDD & SATA DVD. I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 8.10 (hardy). I tried to boot from CD. My PC acted as described above, but after many lines with the same error, it managed to boot. So I installed Ubuntu 8.10 from LiveCD. But after installation I couldn't boot from HDD. Orange box was just moving from side to side and then BusyBox shell appeared. I found 2 ways out: 1) Unplug my DVD (not good, I want to use my DVD) 2) Disable floppy in BIOS and also *disable floppy drive controller*. Those two switches are in totally different places in my BIOS menu. So if you already disabled floppy and it didn't helped, try searching all menus in your BIOS and find the other one. In my AMI BIOS (on Foxconn P35-A mainboard): Standard BIOS Features -> Floppy A -> Disable Advanced BIOS Features -> SuperIO Configuration -> OnBoard Floppy Controller -> Disable Disabling both does the trick for me. -- [feisty] installer reports I/O error dev fd0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/97306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 41272] about Dapper and Edgy
Here is something about this bug: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=189572&page=2 (#14 is probably most important) For those, who use Dapper -> change 'fglrx' to 'ati' driver For those, who use Edgy -> change 'ati' to 'fglrx' driver Both worked for me on Asus a6r. This is VERY strange. Pi4uks -> I found nothing about version 7.2. Just try changing your video driver. This problem has probably nothing in common with your wifi led. Even if led is off, it don't mean that your wifi doesn't work. Type your card name in google and you will find solution for wifi. -- [FGLRX] kernel drivers kills USB subsystem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/41272 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
