2010-04-20 Thread Хаджиев
Public bug reported:

[Bug 567181] [NEW] [Transmission] (wishlist) the app should use much less HDD resources

2010-04-20 Thread Хаджиев
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: transmission

Transmission is very little and simple application but uses a lot of HDD
resources.
It should be developed some kind of RAM side-caching or sth like this, I'm not
sure.
For example, Deluge is very efficient with the HDD (and in its settings it can
be set such cache).

[Bug 410407] Re: Clicking on items in Flash player does nothing [READ DESCRIPTION]

2010-03-16 Thread Хаджиев
@Manole:

So it can be related to the open-source 'radeon' driver which is used by
default on ATI "r5xx" chips.

However, I think that the 64-bit version of the Adobe Flash plug-in uses
more resources and that's why I have the aforesaid issues.

[Bug 541737] Re: Plymouth dont work correctly

2010-04-07 Thread Хаджиев
The bug was marked as duplicate and this is the original bug report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=571046

And the workaround is:

"As Dave Airlie suggests in bug 579576 radeon.new_pll=0 should work around it.
At least it does here on the same hardware.
FWIW 34-rc1 + rawhide kernels seem to also have this fixed."

I've also tried it (radeon.new_pll=0) and it really works well!

[Bug 551721] Re: [grub2] grub fails to load again (in Lucid Beta1)

2010-04-06 Thread Хаджиев
I have an HP NX9420 and the bug occurs even when I DO NOT HAVE an anti-
virus app, when Windows DO NOT run any updates, it occurs AT EVERY boot-
up of Windows and it DOES NOT matter which version of Windows is in use
(I have personally tried XP, Vista and 7).

The MBR of the computer and GRUB2 corrupt even when I try to boot
Windows with the live-cd of Paragon disk manager (this means that the
MBR is corrupted when Windows is not even loaded through GRUB2).

[Bug 551721] [NEW] [grub2] grub fails to load again (in Lucid Beta1)

2010-03-30 Thread Хаджиев
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

ORIGINAL BUG REPORT:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+source/grub2/+bug/441941?comments=all

Maybe the same problem in in Lucid Beta1. After booting Windows my
system again was left with useless MBR.

The system message this time is not "GRUB LOADING" as it is in Karmic
but:

"no module name found
Aborted. Press any key to exit."

After hitting "Enter" the message: "Non-system disk or disk error
replace and strike any key when ready" appears.

The system is totally "unbootable" and there is a need to wipe out or
re-install the "correct" (Windows-only) MBR after each boot of Windows
(it does not matter if it is XP, Vista or 7, nor if an anti-virus
application is used under Windows).

[Bug 579799] Re: [Firefox] when you right-click in Navigation bar, the "copy/cut" command are inactive

2010-05-17 Thread Хаджиев
I've tested the official Ubuntu Firefox package and it's all the same.
The problem occurs in it, too.

P.S. Concerning the unofficial package I use, it's for the smooth scaling of
images option which is turned on in this package. This is the ppa:

[Bug 500088] Re: [Firefox] thin vertical/horizontal lines appear when the web-page is zoomed

2010-05-20 Thread Хаджиев
This is still an issue in Lucid Lynx.

The nice part of the bug is that I found a work-around. If Firefox is
compiled with the smooth scaling of images option turned on, the bug
does not occur. So if this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cairo/+bug/217908?comments=all
is solved, the problem will be solved, too.

[Bug 578224] Re: [radeon driver] (regression) poor video decoding performance

2010-06-05 Thread Хаджиев
Nope. No effect (or at least not so apparent) can be seen with 2.6.34
and X Server ver. 1.8.1 rc1.

P.S. Sorry for this question but why the importance of the bug is not
set?

[Bug 578224] Re: [radeon driver] (regression) poor video decoding performance

2010-06-06 Thread Хаджиев
There is sth more. When KMS is on, there is flickering/tearing while
watching videos.

And there is no 'xorg.conf' in '/etc/X11'...

[Bug 403135] Re: Notification area icon wrongly rendered/uses bg_color as a background (multiple apps)

2010-06-07 Thread Хаджиев
The fix is not released for VLC in Lucid.
However, I've tested VLC under Maverick Alpha 1 and there the problem is fixed.
