HAY! 2.6.32-20 works very fine on my i-ru notebook. But after upgrading to 2.6.32-21, I can't run X at all. Karmic. The same issue.
The problem is in intermediate proxy serveversm which caches file, that
should not be cached. In my experiments, bug never-triggered on FTP. Bug
disappear after removing transparent proxy. Bug disappear after
disabling cache on transparent proxy.
Solution:
1. after the fail, try all known HTTP methods to force non-caching behaviour
(Example of PHP header to fool caching proxy). Both for datafile and for
signature!

When I configure virtual monitors with this way: place external monitor above internal one, and align it's left edges - everything goes OK with moving any window everywhere. When I disalign monitors be left or right edge, the strange bug appear. I can't move windows to central part of secondary (external ) monitor ! when I move window from left part of virtual space on external monitor, it's not moved. When I move it more - It moves to right part of virtual space with jump! the same for moving from right to left. See screenshots. Maybe it is a bug in Xorg. I dont know. по-идее, можно попробовать рещить ее через plural form: т.е. для каждого месяца сделать 2 формы и передавать при перевод 1 или 2 в зависимости от падежа. Хак, конечно, и к тому же не для всех языков наверно годится. А вообще, должны быть разные функции - для формирования даты - оно использует свои шаблоны переводов (Июля, Августа) а перевод названий месяцев для других случаев - свои шаблоны. Yes, isolinux does not work. Moreover when booting it don't even ry to read isolinux.cfg complainig with error shown earlier. I'm use my own scripts to make bootable WinPE images. And after upgrade ir FAIL. just try to create bootable fat32 image without any files. I have maverick updated to last version.
Next I decide to update to Natty.
Upgrade process have been done with errors. I have found fork-bomb in system
and what I done:
chmod a-x /usr/bin/gconftool-2
next upgrade continue, and after some amount of dpkg --configure -a the
upgrade process have been done.
But when I enable execute_bits, fork bomb appear. Why?
gconf -> gio -> libgiolibproxy -> libproxy0.so -> config_gnome.so ->
popen("gconf ...") -> sh -> gconf -> gio -> ...

are the same).
When I remove /usr/lib/libproxy/0.3.1/modules/config_gnome.so, fork bomb
disappear.
What the hell ?!
problem is easily reproductible on my computer ( by recovering
/usr/lib/libproxy/0.3.1/modules/config_gnome.so)

I have maverick updated to last version.
Next I decide to update to Natty.
Upgrade process have been done with errors. I have found fork-bomb in system
and what I done:
chmod a-x /usr/bin/gconftool-2
next upgrade continue, and after some amount of dpkg --configure -a the
upgrade process have been done.
But when I enable execute_bits, fork bomb appear. Why?
- gconf -> gio -> libgiolibproxy -> libproxy0.so -> gconf ->
+ gconf -> gio -> libgiolibproxy -> libproxy0.so -> config_gnome.so ->
system("sh -c gconf ...") -> sh -> gconf -> gio -> ...

So during strace, we can see llseek(), write() syscalls. it's not optimal on current kernel. performance may be higher. It will be nice, if this package in 10.10 and 10.04 will be compiled with -DUSE_PREAD64.
