It would be better if synaptic used some kind of local cache so that it wouldn't download the same screenshot again. Steps to reproduce : Open synaptic, search for vim-gtk and click "Get screenshot" so that you can see vim's image. Now with synaptic open disable your internet connection and hit the ""Get screenshot" again. The image is failed to fetch due to lack of connectivity.
