[Bug 449188] Re: Closing laptop lid doesn't cause the screen to go blank
This bug affects me also, I use 64-bit Karmic on my new Compaq 6730b. I tried Michal's suggestion to comment in /etc/acpi/lid.sh : if [ `CheckPolicy` == 0 ]; then exit; fi I tried: $ sudo vbetool dpms off and it works fine, but when I close the lid of the laptop, the screen lights up after a few seconds. -- Closing laptop lid doesn't cause the screen to go blank https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449188 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
