[Bug 217892] Re: gdm with x11vnc not honoring KillInitClients

2008-10-27 Thread Ákos Mattiassich
I have the same issue, after upgrading from 8.04 to 8.10. Gdm starts and i can
type my username + password,
but if i hit enter, the connection breaks.
As workaround i can login in "safety mode".

[Bug 221737] [NEW] upsd doesn't start on system startup

2008-04-25 Thread Ákos Mattiassich

[Bug 221737] Re: upsd doesn't start on system startup

2008-04-25 Thread Ákos Mattiassich
Yes, you're right, in /etc/default/nut i changed this:
# start upsd
START_UPSD=yes
...
# start upsmon
START_UPSMON=yes
and now it works.
Thank you for your quick response!

[Bug 179829] cal(1): unaligned weekdays for hungarian locale

2008-01-02 Thread Ákos Mattiassich
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bsdmainutils

For hungarian locale is cal(1) output not correct.
The weekdays are not aligned to the columns of the calendar.
cal -3 has an awful output.
I've downloaded the source from here:
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/util-linux-ng/util-linux-ng-2.13-rc1.tar.gz
and I see, that the bug was also here reproducible.
I could correct the problem with this patch in
/util-linux-ng-2.13.1-rc1/misc-utils/cal.c:

@@ -415,7 +415,7 @@
  ssize_t space_left;
  wd = (i + week1stday) % 7;
 #ifdef HAVE_WIDECHAR
- swprintf(day_headings_wc, SIZE(day_headings_wc), L"%1.2s ", weekday(wd));
+ swprintf(day_headings_wc, SIZE(day_headings_wc), L"%2.2s ", weekday(wd));
  swprintf(j_day_headings_wc, SIZE(j_day_headings_wc), L"%3.3s ",
weekday(wd));

  space_left = sizeof(day_headings) - (cur_dh - day_headings);

I hope it helps.

[Bug 481514] [NEW] since last update "Ubuntu is running in low-graphics mode"

This happened after update following packages:

xserver-xorg-video-all 1:7.4+3ubuntu9 -> 1:7.4+3ubuntu10

I can't get rid of low-graphics mode, if I choose Exit to console login, my
monitor displays only an error message, that signal is out of range.
Now i can communicate with my PC only via ssh.
