[Bug 426319] Re: [R400 X700] Blender incorrect repainting and screen corruption
Dimas, we know that there are problems in Jaunty, and at this point we are only interested in identifying problems that are not fixed in Karmic. You may upgrade to Karmic, reinstall Karmic from a recent CD image or test a LiveCD. If you want to test a LiveCD, Karmic beta should be available at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic/ tomorrow. If you find a problem which is not exactly the same as this one, please file it as a new bug with the ubuntu-bug command. Giovanni, I would like you to test some updates which are not yet in Karmic. The x-updates PPA [1] contains an updated mesa and an updated -ati driver. They may make it into Karmic, especially if it fixes bugs like this one. Could you first test with those? If it isn't fixed by those, there is the even more bleeding edge xorg-edgers PPA [2] which holds the latest development version of mesa. If it is fixed there, we may try and find the patch that fixes this problem and include in Karmic. If it still present with xorg-edgers, we can report it upstream, since this is something they will want to fix there. In this case it will take longer to fix, but if the fix is small enough it may be possible to include it as an update to Karmic. [Bug 180986] Re: Hard drive will not stay in standby mode
After eliminating swap my /dev/sdb still spins up about once an hour. I don't have any of the following installed: - hddtemp - sensors-applet - smartmontools In "cat /proc/mounts" I don't see any references to /dev/hdb or UUIDs of any of its partitions. I used this script to monitor: echo 1 >/proc/sys/vm/block_dump while ( ! dmesg -c|grep sdb ); do sleep 1; done echo 0 >/proc/sys/vm/block_dump Is there any way I could "freeze" the kernel after issuing the hdparm -S/y/Y command so that I can be sure neither the kernel nor any process is able to access the disk? [Bug 439115] Re: totem hangs when it finishes playing a file
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- totem hangs when it finishes playing a file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439115 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
