[SM-USERS] reply to per folder setting
hi, first of all, this is probably the wrong mailing list but since theres no user mailing list where else should i post? im looking for a webmail solution that allows the following: if you have a folder hirarchy like this: yahoo acccount - inbox - sent google account - inbox - sent when reading a google mail i would like to have "reply to" for the receiver set to the google mail adress obviously, is this possible with squirrelmail? theres a plugin called "folder preferences" but it apparently can only set the sort order... found no other plugins on the official page that would do the trick. in the manual it says that you can set personal preferences, reply to - but i guess this is global for one account? greets -- Master Visual Studio, SharePoint, SQL, ASP.NET, C# 2012, HTML5, CSS, MVC, Windows 8 Apps, JavaScript and much more. [SM-USERS] No Options page
Don't know why, when or how, but my "Options" page disappeared on me. I use 1.4.6 CVS All users have this same problem. Everything else works. All preferences work. By "No Options page" I mean that the "Options" click-word in the top menu is gone, and when I click it, it opens nothing, just a blank page (with the left and top frame still as they should be). I have tried disabling all plugins, and looked at each turn, but to no avail. I have also tried disabling all added default_pref and/or personal prefs, to no avail. Is this a known CVS 1.4.6 problem? Is this related to a PHP version or configuration change? I don't recall to have changed php.ini ever since the Options page was still there, but PHP has updated several times since then; I'm now on PHP Version 4.3.11 ) Hope I'm not alone in this. My "live" Squirrelmail config.php is visualized here: http://jult.net/txt/config (I'm currently trying to solve this issue, so this file changes accordingly..) -- Adios Julius --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. By "Check your logs" which ones would say anything about this? I haven't seen any error relating to this at times of clicking the "Options" link (because no error occurs, obviously, it just does nothing). > Posting Guidelines: > http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/MailingListPostingGuidelines I'm pretty sure that any extra info won't help much: Apache 2.*, Fedora Core 3 up to date. It seems I am, in which case I will revert back to 1.4.5 because I'm not here to spend time on errors like this, I was hoping it was a simple and known error/bug that I could easily solve. I was once told by someone to use the CVS version, but I think I won't listen to this person anymore. -- Adios Julius --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Re: [SM-USERS] No Options page
Just so you know; Reverting back to SquirrelMail/1.4.5 [CVS] solved it. Maybe that helps. By the way; I always need to patch files because of the enormous message-ID-length and header-slack created by the Delivery class files etc. It would be great if these parts were all optional. Personally I believe all those headers are a drag, and like to switch off "User Agent", as well as "Squirrelmail auth user" with the date and time added yet another useless time, in my opinion this is really too much. It's bad enough each e-mail now has about 20 lines of virus-scanning and spam- checking headers in them, we don't want more. -- J --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Or turn on > on-screen error verbosity. THAT IS NOT IN THE POSTING GUIDELINES. As I already stated, the non-working Options is there for a long time, obviously if there were any errors in logs, I would have noticed; They're not there! "turn on on-screen error verbosity". Ever hear of giving help, Paul? What "on-screen error verbosity"? There are millions of those out there. > > I'm pretty sure that any extra info won't help much: > > Absolutely false. Software versions are always relevant. In this case I was (and still am) sure it's not related to the info you seem to want to know on top of what I already wrote in the first post. The Options not showing anything has nothing to do with my Apache version or operating system, or browser. If it had, I would have written that down. > 1.4.6cvs is the most up to date stable software and is the best to be > using at least if you are trying to mix and match with PHP 5 and so forth. Obviously it isn't 'stable', so this is bad advice. I will not be using 1.4.6 until such problems are out, and I can't imagine I will be the only one experiencing them. It's a SM problem, not my OS or PHP version's, because they are VERY common ones to use. To solve this, one has to look into SM code, not in that of PHP or Fedora Core or Apache (its config has not changed). -- Adios Julius --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. What do you think? I have clearly been on the CVS updates until now, generally if one speaks of "reverting back" it will be a previous version, and usually it's the last one before when the problem started. Duh. So far not one remark from your end related to the actual problem at hand. What is this mailinglist for anyway? If you're not up for really helping anyone, skip the comments and don't offer users a mailinglist like this. -- J --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
