Can anyone point me to information or options to help support visually impaired persons on Squrrelmail?? [SM-USERS] Newmail sound on Win32 Mozilla
Hi, I've recently switched to Mozilla on Win32 (from IE). One feature of Squirrelmail that doesn't seem to work is the newmail sound that indicates new mail. Mozilla doesn't support inline wav files and prompts me to save it to disk or select an external application to open it with. Has anyone gotten this notification sound working under mozilla on Windows? It looks like the sound is now a wav file. Should I convert it to some other format that mozilla might play natively or is there a particular browser plug-in I need to install? Using Mozilla 1.3.1 on Windows XP; Squirrelmail 1.4.0; I know this is more of a Mozilla-related question, but I'm hoping someone here as encountered the issue and has a solution. [SM-USERS] Minor issue with Squirrelmail 1.4.2 composing messages.
Hi all, I've been running Squirrelmail since version 1.2.x without much problem & have recently updated to 1.4.2 (running PHP 4.3.2) under Mac OSX 'client' version with Apache 2.0.47 Now the issues I'm seeing are only minor, but are unusual & other users on other similarly set up servers are seeing identical issues so i'd like to narrow down the cause & effect a cure if possible. The problem exhibits in that we log into a Squirrelmail session normally, go into compose & type a message - click on send (using Netscape 7.01) & the message is sent, but the window remains static as though nothing has happened except the activity icon stops moving. Exactly the same behaviour is seen under Safari 1.1 Under Internet Explorer 5.2 (all these browsers are under Mac OSX), the result is a Data Encryption Error dialogue box, but the message is still sent & recieved at the other end. Does anyone have any ideas on this please? Another smaller thing - once a message is deleted, is the Inbox folder suppose to update the amount of messages remaining or is it supposed to be updated only when clicking 'Refresh Folder List'? The fellow who started this thread is running Red Hat 7.3 and he still has the problem AFAIK. I was just contributing to the thread by giving my observation of what happened with a recent OS upgraded. This upgrade happened well before the thread started, and not for the purpose of fixing the SquirrelMail 1.4.x issue. That fact that it did fix 1.4.x was just something I discovered afterwards. One more small data point: I think the final PHP and Apache on my Red Hat 7.0 box might have been Red Hat 7.1 updates. Hi Cheryl, It is obvious you have a problem with your ISP - the place to email on this occasion is your ISP, not the Squirrelmail mailing list, which goes out to hundreds of users of the Squirrelmail web email software who will have/know nothing about your problem. Squirrelmail does not delete mail in the way you have described, it is likely some antivirus software which has done so, in which case, your ISP is still the place to vent your anger. [SM-USERS] allow_black_hole - plug-in
We are using the local_autorespond_forward plug-in and we noticed that it allows for a user to TURN ON auto-respond (do_auto_reply) and TURN OFF keep local copies (no_local_delivery) which is causing some of our users to stop recieving email. How do we fix this? Thinking a few ways, just need assistance with the coding. 1) Hide the "keep local copies" option so that NO ONE can disable\see option. 2) build in validation so that if user turns ON 'auto-reply' and turns OFF 'keep local copy' that it validated to ensure they have at least one forwarding address populated. 3) any other suggestions? i reviewed options.php and found code related to allow_black_hole but do not know how to turn off so no black_hole occurs. I am sure many of you have experienced this issue and implemented a fix. We are running latest version of SquirrelMail on RHEL5 Thank you for your time. [SM-USERS] local_autorespond_forward plug-in - REPLY TO issues
We are using the 'local_autorespond_forward' plug-in and have noticed that either the plug-in or the mail servers sends the vacation message to the FROM: address instead of using the REPLY TO address within the message headers if one exists. This is causing a problem for departmental email addresses that set the REPLY TO address to something different so they don't receive "vacation messages", etc when sending out a bulk email. Any one know how to resolve this so that if Auto reply is active in SquirrelMail, the mail server actually uses REPLY TO, instead of FROM when automatically replying to a message? If the user hits the REPLY button within SquirrelMail, it does use the REPLY TO: header as expected. Just not working correctly when using autorespond. Please advise. [SM-USERS] SquirrelMail address groups plug-in help
We have enabled the pagination and groups plug-in however I can not figure out how to use? If I access Display Options I do see the below settings under Address Book, but can't figure out how to add a group? I also do not see a a Group section in Manage Addresses page? The plug-in readme does not give this detail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks [image: address.jpg] Terry Jolley -- Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself. Re: [SM-USERS] SquirrelMail address groups plug-in help
Thanks for the response Paul.. I do see the Address Book Groups: option under Display Preferences, and when I put in something in the text box, then click submit at the bottom of page, it puts me back at the main OPTIONS screen and states..Successfully Saved Options: Display Preferences. However, when I go to 'Manage Addresses'. I do not see any GROUP drop-down, option, etc??? Any other way to troubleshoot this issue/plugin? Where should the "group" name be saving for the user profile? Terry Jolley On Fri, Apr 2, 2010 at 3:28 PM, Paul Lesniewski wrote: > > Please send plain text messages only to this list, thanks. Re: [SM-USERS] favicon
The check_quota plug-in was listed first under ./conf.pl PLUG-INS. Do I need to uninstall the quota plugin, make sure addgraphic is listed and then add back check_quota plugin? Sounds too easy. I did hardcode the img src to get things to work, however would rather do it systematically if possible. > > > Terry Jolley wrote: >> >> I am using the ADDGRAPHICS plug-in and the CHECK_QUOTA plug-in .
