[SM-USERS] access problem
We have been having a login problem the past few days. Using the browser based login from a Windows PC (desktop or notebook) users log in and get a message "you must be logged in to view this page". We are usually able to log in while this is occurring using our Android-based phones but another user with an iPhone can not. The problem is transient as we can sometimes log in with our PCs, but only a small percent of the time. Sorry if this has already been addressed, I'm new to the list. Has anyone seen this and is there a fix? Re: [SM-USERS] access problem
We are running Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 on a dedicated box with a high speed DSL fixed IP connection. We use squirrel mail for our mail server and use Clamwin antivirus. Both are up to date and we do daily antivirus scans and scan all email, in and out. The main disk is 68GB with a 1TB external. We have 64 GB of RAM. We serve about 30 email users in 3 companies. Please provide some information on your system and the environment (have a look at http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines for information) then maybe someone on this list can help you... [SM-USERS] vlogin question
I have vlogin setup. Everything works fine except when I send an email, the FROM field reflects the system username instead of the username the person logs in with. For ex. When user [EMAIL PROTECTED] logs in. The from address shows [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is it possible to configure squirrelmail so that it uses the email address the user logs in with as the From email address. I know you can log in and change it via the options -> Personal Information, but i do not want to do this for each client. Thank you --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. [SM-USERS] Re: vlogin question
Ok. I figured something out. When I access squirrelmail from mail.example.com instead of mail.domain.com, it works fine. It uses the username as the email address. mail.domain.com doesn't allow this though. mail.example.com and mail.domain.com point to the same server. Any thoughts? Re: Webmail.us & SquirrelMail [was Re: [SM-USERS] Infoworld Article]
Hi Paul, We put this page online the night you contacted us, and the day before our official announcements: http://www.webmail.us/open-source FYI- this page is one click from our home page. It is the landing page of our Partners section. Again, let me know if this is the type of recognition youre looking for, or what else I can do to help. Well also be putting something similar on our corporate web site (www.excedent.com). Paul, I have no problem giving credit to your team and the open source community. I think the work youve done is great and were proud to be affiliated with you all. Its not something we try to hide. Keep in mind that I gave all that info to InfoWorld it wasnt something they came up with by themselves. I will pass your info onto my CTO and VP of Product Development. I appreciate your response and again, feel free to come back to me with anything else. I have waited several days, and I still don't see a single mention of SquirrelMail on webmail.us. I presume your updates are still in the offing. If this is in fact the case, I appologize for having jumped the gun (or maybe InfoWorld should :) ). I should also point out that at least there was *some* acknowledgment on your part (even if through InfoWorld) about using our product -- that made you an easy target, but we all know that there are *many* more companies who use SquirrelMail without ever contacting us, giving us credit, and so forth. I sure wish *those* companies would step up and throw us some crumbs of acknowledgment, if nothing else. At least Webmail.us has taken a small step in that direction. Thank you for that. > I would also like the opportunity to see how we can work together in > the future. Would you be interested? Absolutely. The best way to coordinate such work would be to have your developers participate in one of our mailing lists (as dictated by the nature of the work -- usually the devel or plugins lists), but they are also free to contact me personally.
