[SM-USERS] Question about Folders

2003-11-20 Thread DALive Editor
Hello,

I see Squirrelmail uses INBOX.Sent, INBOX.Drafts and INBOX.Trash. Why
doesn't it just use the aleady in place Sent, Drafts and Trash? And can
I get it to use these?

Thank you.

[SM-USERS] Squirrelmail Auth/Session system

2003-11-21 Thread DALive Editor
Hello,

I want to bypass Squirrelmail's login screen, and automate login based
on an existing session which I have due to the fact that my site has
it's own Auth. system...how would I do so without tampering too much
with the fabric of the SquirrelMail's own authentication system?

Thank you.

[SM-USERS] Hacking Squirrelmail's user pref. system

2003-11-21 Thread DALive Editor
Hello,

I'm tring to get Squirrelmail pull preferenes from my own datasource (an
XML file) I know how to get the XML etc. but how do I pass that data to
Squirrelmail? How do I format the data so that Squirrelmail undertands
it? Are the stored preferences documented somewhere?

Thanks alot.

Re: [SM-USERS] Possible $prefs_cache[$key] values and keys

2003-11-23 Thread DALive Editor

Hmm...I think you're a genius.

My mind was so set on having strict XML tags i forgot abotu trying such
an approach...but for that approach I'd have to loop through the
records to find teh correct key and get it's value...a little more
processing power...but it gets the job done.

Thank you.

Yes thank you,

I've tried looking through that file. But I've quickly noticed that
not all the possible prefs. are in the file at one time generally. And
I need to know all the possible values so that I can setup my XML.

The prefs file is loaded on nearly every change to the preferences
options, and saved into cache. It's impossible to know ALL the
preferences options because of things like plugins and the likes. you
shouldn't need to know ALL the values because you should be able to do
something like this:

 sort
 1

That's just an example, but it shows you don't need to know all of them,
you can just set the name to whatever the preference name gets set to,
depending on the option. Then you just build a new preference handler
to add/remove/edit the XML sections.

[SM-USERS] Error: Maximum execution time

2003-11-29 Thread DALive Editor

Hello,

I get the following error in the 'Folders' page, any ideas?

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/apache2/html/dalive/bin/webmail/functions/imap_mailbox.php
on line 79

It does show one folder, a non standard/created folder. All
suggestons would be appreciated.
Thank you

Re: [SM-USERS] Error: Maximum execution time

2003-11-30 Thread DALive Editor

Sorry about that:

Yes I have the UW Imap Server. I also have the latest versions of
Apache, PHP and Squirrelmail. I'm just taken a look throught the
Arcieve but the mass of information has left me without an answer.

If you please, point me in a specific direction. I had searched for
'Maxiumum execution time' in the archieve.

Also line 79 is this like: 'if (ereg(" *\"([^\r\n\"]*)\"[ \r\n]*$",
$mailbox, $regs))' could that be what's taking so long? Should I simply
up the maximum execution time?

Thank you.

Have you read the archives? You have not detailed your setup, so I'm
going to stab in the dark (educated guestimate)... you're using the
IMAP server from University of Washington. I strongly suggest reading
the archives, this is a much mentioned issue.

[SM-USERS] Migratign from $HOMEDIR to $HOMEDIR\mail

2003-12-02 Thread DALive Editor
Hello to all,

This is not specifically a Squirrelmail question, but I've not been
getting answers anywhere else and it's to be doen so as to solve a time
out prob I've been gettign with Squirrelmail.

My original install of Linux was a simple RH 9 distro from which I
built up. But with that setup my mail got thrown into my $HOMEDIR, as
you may well know. I would like to migrate this behaviour to the usage
of something such as $HOMEDIR\mail.

I would like a step-by-step of things to do, a link to a tutorial or at
list a concise search string for Google.

Thanks alot.
