[SM-USERS] cyrus murder + avelsieve

2006-10-16 Thread Casper
Is here anybody who got the squirrelmail-avelsieve working on a cyrus
murder setup with multiple backendservers?

The webmail is a seperate server, but the proxy (timsieve) should handle
the connection to the right backend.

But... as i asked before is here anybody who got this setup working?

Re: [SM-USERS] cyrus murder + avelsieve

2006-10-16 Thread Casper
Yes i have tested, i must play a little with the plugincode.
I let the users login with [EMAIL PROTECTED] on the proxy/frontends but the
backends just have cyrus and proxycyrus users setup, no @domain.tld auth
as the frontends/proxy.

So the proxyserver and avelsieve does not work well here in this (my)
enviroment (i use 2.3.7 no cvs).

So if i read the manual right, the avelsiev should connect to the same
imapproxy/frontend as all other clients (like the webmail) and then be
redirected to the right backend

If this is a road to hell please let me know.

Thanks for all help out here...

Re: [SM-USERS] cyrus murder + avelsieve

2006-10-16 Thread Casper
Yes i got the logs on the backend it's something with ssl or some
other authoption... i will debug, i think it's ssl or plaintext errors and
if i'm right cyrus do not take plaintext on the backends if not using
ssl.. and without ssl i must use digest or kerberos.

i will try what you are telling me to do and report when done.

thanks!

Re: [SM-USERS] cyrus murder + avelsieve

2006-10-16 Thread Casper
My output from Cyrus v2.3.7

Escape character is '^]'.
"IMPLEMENTATION" "Cyrus timsieved (Murder) v2.3.7"
"SASL" "DIGEST-MD5"
"SIEVE" "comparator-i;ascii-numeric fileinto reject vacation imapflags
envelope body regex subaddress copy"
OK

There is no STARTSSL so that bug is fixed from v2.3.6 (if it was a bug),
there is no startssl in my logs i only get "no mechs", and thats right
with my setup.

I do not use SSL on the backends, the only servers that has connection to
the outside is my frontends, all other servers has private ip-numbers and
behind a firewall with no possibility to get "online". So there are no
need to use ssl on the backends (at least not for me).

Instead i use digest, i save a little bit of serverload when having many
accounts (maybee not so much but anyway, but i would save even more with
kereros but i'm not there yet)...

Your support helped me save time reading phpcode, and it looks like the
small edit of the code you gave me fixed my problem.

Thanks Alexandros, if i can help you someday i will gladly do so.

:)
