Re: [SM-USERS] Other sort fields in squirrelmail web interface

2012-04-12 Thread Bot

Thank you for the reply.
I agree that sorting by "sent" brings a certain dose of unreliability, and
my reasons to use it are a bit unusual ( one of bussiness processes require
us to check that date, and i can't teach my users to read mail headers).

Re: [SM-USERS] IMAP Problem with Strato

2012-04-12 Thread hamees
Hello again,

> It's impossible to respond to this without any further information
(i.e., see my last message). Thanks for looking into it.

With some network sniffing it looks like the following part is causing the
problem.

Case 1) When opening a message the first time, the server responds with the
FLAGS line and SquirrelMail complains about it:

A006 UID FETCH 1812 BODY[1]
* 2 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen) UID 1812)
* 2 FETCH (BODY[1] {9}
TEST2

 UID 1812)
A006 OK FETCH complete

Case 2) When opening the same message another time, it doesn't add this line
and SquirrelMail is happy:

A004 UID FETCH 1812 BODY[1]
* 2 FETCH (BODY[1] {9}
TEST2

 UID 1812)
A004 OK FETCH complete

Not sure if that is the reason, so if you'd like an account for testing, please
let me know to whom to send the login details.

Cheers, John

Please quote the message you're replying to next time.

To be clear, my answer was confusing since I didn't respond correctly
to exactly what you were asking. You can't have more than one date
field in SquirrelMail 1.4.x, but you can change the one date field
globally (for all folders) between the received date and the "Date:"
header in the email (the sent date). Look for Options-->Display
Preferences-->Sort by Received Date. You can set this setting for all
your users at once by using one of the methods explained here:
