IMAP clients can flag only answered messages. There is no standard flag for
forwarded messages.

Dear Sir,

I don't know why there is no reaction when I press "Reply" or "Reply All"
or "Forward" button above the message box.
How can I reply the message then?

Thanks,
Gary

[SM-USERS] From address unknown

2010-05-14 Thread ray h
Squirrelmail version 1.4.20
Php 5.3.0
Apache 2.2.13
Postfix 2.6.5
Dovecot 1.2.6
Fedora 12 32bit
All RPM but squirrelmail was source
Firefox browser
HP desktop running windows XP and vmware workstation 7 running the rest

Hello all, I require assistance in setting up a standalone email
server using open source tools. I have the above software and so far
it works ok but I have some small issues.

I am using this testbed for illustrating how to spoof email so when I
telnet from a windows host and the from field is fictitious
squirrelmail shows it as unknown. Viewing full headers shows the from
field but I require it to be displayed at the inbox view.

Also, when a local user is created and tries login to squirrelmail the
error message is connection dropped by IMAP server. However, if I
manually create /home/user/mail/.imap the user can login and all
features work properly. Where do I start to narrow down the cause?

Thanks!

Please show the full message source.

That's nothing to do with SquirrelMail. Whatever IMAP server you are
using apparently cannot log a user in unless you do some housekeeping
when you add a new user. Check your IMAP logs and consult the Dovecot
community.

I suspect you are an end-user and NOT the system administrator. If
that's the case, please contact your service provider to get
assistance.
