[SM-USERS] Help With Failed opening required Message

2009-09-15 Thread JBlanchard
Hi,

I receive the following error when logging in to read my email via
Squirrelmail. It has always worked fine for me up until 9/13/2009. I am
the webmaster for our non-profit group and inherited the website. The use
of Squirrelmail was set up prior to my taking over. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Please note: ??? below is my user id.

Check your php and web server configuration. You have enabled PHP
open_basedir restrictions on virtual host or global PHP configuration and
forgot to include path to SquirrelMail scripts.

Set sort setting to 6 in SquirrelMail user's preferences.

If you can't modify your user's preference file, log into squirrelmail and
replace "src/webmail.php" address with
"src/right_main.php?newsort=6&startMessage=1&mailbox=INBOX". When mailbox
listing is displayed, logout and relogin.

45.8M folder is not big. You should count number of messages stored in that
folder and not total size. If you have 2-3 thousands of messages, your
SquirrelMail setup is not optimized.

Hi

Strings under c-format are not translated in the squillemail.po, e.g.

#, c-format

msgid "Viewing Messages: %s to %s (%s total)"

msgstr "Viendo mensajes: del %s al %s (total %s)"

What should I change to have it translated ?

Php-format ?

Thanks

pet

It works for me in various languages, and the code snippet above looks
fine to me. Did you remember to restart your web server after "installing"
the new "squirrelmail.mo"?

Please try the attached patch. I'm not sure yet if this is a good
fix, as it may affect other parts of the software. If you are
interested in helping, you can test this patch by using SquirrelMail
as extensively as possible, and by also watching for my post about it
on the development and/or i18n mailing lists a bit later today.

This has already been covered several times on dev, plugins, and users
mailing lists. You should search them. Also several bugs have been
opened and closed on this too.

You're also failing to follow any of the basic guidelines...

We do not host mail accounts, we cannot give you an account. If you
have an account with somebody that offers SquirrelMail as a web
front-end, then you should speak to them.

Also, please don't post the entire contents of a digest message for 2
lines, it's irrelevant.
